Here's a guy who's done the research. Saw the last 2 vids and in one day they shot up 2x in size for sure!!!
ОтветитьLooking good.
Ответитьgood looking chicken tractor, if our property wasnt so multi level / terraced I would use the tractor.
ОтветитьNice looking coop, so will all the hens share the 2 boxes
ОтветитьYes, my understanding is that you should have one nest box for every 4 to 5 hens (some will say, "3 to 4 hens)." I Don't plan to keep more than 4 or 5 hens so, I'm good. I may also add a nest box on the floor of the coop that my brother-in-law has for me.
ОтветитьYes, good point. Rodents are an important thing to consider. I have the coop in an open spot without much cover but, those weeds need to be kept down. I never saw a rat here but, there are some mice that the owls and snakes help to control. When I farmed 30 years ago I had to deal with a rat family one time when they made a home near the barn. I trapped them then flooded the tunnels. Never had rats again. Lucky, because if you don't get them soon enough, they can become a real bad problem.
Ответитьnice coop and design! i hope to build one soon!!
Ответитьare you selling this coop? please email me @ [email protected]
ОтветитьHow big is the coop ???
ОтветитьConstructing a chicken coops yourself is not hard and interesting task. I've created a straightforward to follow help guide to building your very own back yard chicken house. It's created for that total newbie, and you do not need any carpentry skills.
