This is the best utilization of the PS5 pro , in a lot of the other comparisons you have to squint to see the difference but here it’s night and day. It’s all about how the developer implements their pro mode, I feel like once new games start to come out we’ll start to see more clear differences as developers start to take the pro into consideration during development

ill say this, it's definitely a step up especially when comparing both performance modes...however, i think this game is an incredible game to show the improvements on...there are some games that really show the difference between the pro and the original but then there are others where the differences are negligible...so it really just depends on the game you are playing...and if the difference is worth the money

Not a fan of ps5 pro but this is good, ps5 pro will do great when gpu seems to be the bottleneck, but games are very cpu demanding so better graphics at the same fps is what to expect from ps5 pro

How much input lag is added by the upscaler?

PS5 base at fidelity mode, 120hz 40fps mode for me. Same visuals as the pro but still a smooth 40fps

4k vs "4k"

Sony knows what they’re doing and they know what future of gaming looks like. When you can use AI to upscale the image in real-time while having the internal render set to 1440p or even 1080p, yet what you’re seeing is identical to 4K, that’s amazing!

I doubt they’ll catch up to DLSS, but this is really impressive tech from Sony!

The real question is, what will games look like moving forward that are BUILT for the PS5/Pro. Highly curious to see what Insomniac does with Wolverine for the Pro. We won’t see what the Pro can do until next year at the earliest…

Had a gift card for Gamestop and sold my original ps5 from release date so it did not cost me 50 bucks. If i had to pay the full 800 plus price with disc drive and stand. I dont think i woud of udgraded. Anyway long story longer im enjoying it with last of us and BO6.

In Digital foundry video we can see that there is some "pop in" in the pro mode, the same as the perf mode. The shadows looks better in fidelity mode. It looks like pro mode is just a better performance mode. But the graphics are not coming from fidelity mode.

Could you test Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare (2019), Vanguard and MWII in 120hz mode. I wonder what improvments and fps we can gain on PS5 Pro.

You can unlock the FPS on the base PS5 and run it on fidelity with VRR which is 4k native

if i need to zoom in to see the difference why should i even get the ps5 pro??,i mean logically speaking i thought the difference between FSR on the ps5 and PSSR on the pro is gonna be huge since the optimisation margin is not that high compared to PC ,instead the difference ended up being as close as a FSR VS DLSS comparison minus the resources usage standard, also i realize the ps5 pro is not a next gen console and a midgen but at least they could improve the shaders and textures on their 1st party games, and honestly i hate to bring this up because each platforms has its pros and cons but the could've avoided launching a new mid gen console and working on the current one just like xbox is doing meaning PSSR doesn't have to be ps5 pro exclusive, it's just about sony making money.

Im sorry bro but its been stated by Sony and Digital Foundry that the Ps5pro perfeomance mode is the same as the performance mode on the PS5 with just PSSR upscaling. The differences arent goong to show up 30 feet away in the game. The dfferences show up in draw distance, level of detail switching and Resolution between the quality mode on both machines and performance mode on both machines.
