To be able to shoot like Midorima, you need to have an innate sense of distance (between your ball and the basket). This allows you to adjust your shot accordingly in strength, arm length and power. A good long range fighter like Midorima has a sense of distance. I can understand him because I am a long range fighter though I never play basketball.

If you want to practise that sense of distance, you can play more angry birds game.

What makes Midorima terrifying is not the accuracy, speed or power of his three point shooters because Hyuga and Aomine were excellent shooters as well (i put them at S tier along with the Mirage shot from Kagami's brother and Void shot from an uncrowned king). Instead it is the insane range of his shooting power. He can shoot from half court and full court, making him nearly God like.
