Part 3/4 response - tier list is king but hbox could play as Kirby and me as fox and the whole world knows how that would go. There’s the player and the character and the other player and the other players character to deal with. Imagine player vs character in melee terms. The gap between Kirby/Bowser to Fox is significantly smaller than the gap between an average player and say hungrybox. Familiarity with matchups is another part of the melee iceberg and can be exploited in matchups. If a player knows his niche character and he knows your character, you are potentially massively disadvantaged

Been saying this for years, ever since 2019 when I started getting into melee. DK has the greatest potential in the roster. Look at him now, often considered one of the better characters in the game.

However, I always considered Mewtwo and Link other great contenders for being really good. They just need more dedicated players to explore them.
