Great job you two!
Congratulations super driving in Madeira, but don't drive in Vietnam let your drive by local people iets really differently there to drive.
ОтветитьA very long awaited video! I think it's one of the funniest one you ever made. Amalie, congrats not only for the license, but also that you allowed to film everything. How many would have refused to show all there mistakes and fears👏

ОтветитьI'm a long time subscriber and a big fan of yours. As an admirer I decided to visit Madeira upon your advice in 2023. We rented a Mini Cooper convertible just like you two kids and planned to do many of those driving itineraries you videoed in your early days there. And yes, flying TAP from the States through Lisbon (only Nairobi's immigration was worse) to Funchal was an "adventure". Just driving that manual Mini from the airport to our downtown hotel practically gave me a heart attack. Those highway roads soaring high over the buildings and mountain gorges scared the crap out of me. The next day we decided to brave it and drive up the coast toward Santa Cruz via Ponta do Garajau. I've been a licensed driver for over 50 years and have driven all over the World, but those roads in Madeira...!!! I was nervous the whole time and normally love driving. The nearly vertical climbs and descents, looking down deep chasms hundreds of feet below, insane local drivers and narrow streets nearly did me in. And trying to find a place to park was impossible. We rented that Mini for a week but ended up parking it for the remaining 6 days. Instead we bought multiple days of Hop On/Hop Off bus tickets, booked a van tour and did a lot of walking instead. I didn't try driving again until heading back to the airport in the early morning when no one else was on the road. No wonder Amalie had a rough go of it. In the end she succeeded far more than I ever did. All that being said, Madeira is everything you guys claim it is. It really is paradise. And for a Danish-American who hates seafood there was still plenty of fantastic food and drink to enjoy there.
ОтветитьCongrats! It's also nice to see this new chapter in your lives where you take things in a more relaxing manner.
ОтветитьThis was epic!! 😂
ОтветитьMy Sister took lessons with Gil he was so good, and always friendly, after about 8 years I took mine with him.
He is such a good instructor.
Congratulations, Amalie!
ОтветитьDo you really believe in five years all cars will be electric?
ОтветитьWell done Amalie! Felicidades e conduz com segurança!
ОтветитьJoen is Not a Good help😢
ОтветитьHow much did the test cost?
ОтветитьI love this! Congrats, Amalie!
Enjoy your newfound freedom and try to not forget your secret shopping in the trunk. 😉
Oh wow i wasnt expecting for this, Imf from Madeira, i hope you have a great time here!
ОтветитьThis is the most entertaining video you've made in a while... 😂
Honest and relatable.
Loved the close ups of Amalie's face... 😅
The clutch is a nightmare for beginners!
Congratulations on learning to drive on those mountains' narrow streets! 🎉 🎊 🎉
Wend I came across Amalie on Funchal I will put my hand up .
Ответить" figure out the clutch " lolol, life hack Amelia, handbrake use the handbrake, ( pull the handbrake, use the clutch and accelerator like normal, and as soon as you feel the front of the car starting to " raise up " release the handbrake ) once you master this, you can go drive to Lombo dos Aguiares lol.
Ответитьenjoy paradise and enjoy driving
ОтветитьHow many hours instruction did you have before your test?
ОтветитьCongratulations on your driving licence, Amalie! 👏👏🎉 Loved the video! I must say though that, as a Madeiran, I always avoid those "difficult" roads, including that one where the car lifts a wheel. That one is near my home and I never use it. 😂
ОтветитьBefore we moved to Madeira, I swore we wouldn’t buy a manual car. Well, we did. And even though we are both experienced drivers, this island has been challenging to say the least. Just ask us about our experience last Sunday going up to Santo de Serra. Ugh. We can only imagine how terrifying this must have been for Amalie. Which makes her accomplishment that much more impressive. Parabéns! One day, we will run into you and Lara at Chef Guru. 😊
ОтветитьJust buy a car with an auto transmission Amalie. You will releive yourself of the stress of operating a clutch. An electric car for you I think would be the best option especially in Madeira. Make sure you instal a wall box for fast charging though 😉
ОтветитьTo me, Madeira is too scary to be classified as paradise. But I am sure Amelie does not have a fear of hights, so Congrats for the licence!
ОтветитьWhat about your house ?? Did you sell it ?? Why you dont live there ??
Ответитьwill be better in uk 😅
ОтветитьWell done!! You did it ❤👏👏 Congratulations beautiful girl 🎉
ОтветитьCongratulations Amelie. So happy for you both for new beginnings.
Ответитьmiss your vlogs about portugal football games. Would be amazing to see the pov of this 4-1 match between benfica and porto. Those were the best videos, didnt matter the result 1 day after a big match i would always come here to check ur guys pov of the game, thats until you stopped doing those. Can i ask why?
ОтветитьIt starts to get so annoyng seeing foreigners living in this country, everyone comes here! They buy our houses (often to rent to the locals), they occupy our country, they make the traffic unbearable, the prices became too expensive for the Portuguese reality, but they don't even know how to speak the language or have any connection to the country's culture, they simply come to take advantage of what the country has to offer. I honestly think it's time to start closing borders, because it's affecting the Portuguese lifestyle for the worse. The borders of this country are open to everyone, incredible, that's why we are the ass of Europe... it's not the fault of foreigners, but of the stupid Portuguese who always elect the same crap corrupt politicians. Candidate Andre Ventura (trump style) will soon come to power and he will put an end to this joke that this country has become
