I custom made my emote on bttv. I see it on my twitch chat but my viewers just see words. What do I do to make it viewable for my viewers.

I'd like to have more emotes, as now I only have 1 spot, but my question is : Do you think it's a "bad move" to add BetterTTV Emotes when affiliated or not ? I want more emotes but I'm affraid people won't sub if there are free emotes ... What's your opinion about that ?
