Emperor penguins are the Russians of the animal kingdom. They live in a frozen wasteland and are therefore always miserable 😂😂😂.

The fathers feed the chicks with whatever food they have left in their stomachs. Dads wait until the mothers return to leave for o the ocean. Fathers will shelter small chicks from the cold. If they leave before the mothers arrive the chicks likely die. If mothers return and they can't find their mates or chicks they'll try to "adopt"living abandoned chicks, only to lose interest shortly afterwards.

Id take this life over whatever i have right now.

I thought the penguin dads stayed with their chicks on their feet until the mothers come back, and then transfer the baby to her while he goes off for food? Eventually yes, they do leave the chick with the rest of the creche of other penguin chicks, and they both go in search of food at once... but not immediately after the baby hatches.

Cheetahs, they're kind of odd.
