Sorry...I cannot see any of your colours, really up close, because the focus is so far away.

Nice! Since the glow comes from PY150, I usually use that as a single pigment with the premeteks. Bright colors like phthlos and cool quins mix well with them also.

John Cooley now owns Daniel Smith .....he purchased it from DS in 2008....he had worked with DS for 30 years and worked his way up the ladder ......this was a BAD decision! DS worked hard to get recognition! I remember them giving away paint to try and get a coveted spot among huge classic names like WIndsor Newton, Schmincke and others. He fought hard......! First mineral paint was Lapis Lazuli in 1998.....i bought it! Was fairly weak....but was probably legit! Met with a mediocre response here in the US and elsewhere. Where does an American think he can make paints better than the Europeans? I was along that thought line as well.....loved WN......still do.

Well.....I am so disappointed in DS! I have been to their store in Seattle......and I actually met Daniel Smith. The years that i lived in San Francisco....I was one of the first to use their paints and have been impressed ever since.......this is a bummer for sure! I realized lately that Daniel Smith no longer owns DS.....I think he sold out? I am investigating further. My self....I have used other “mineral” paints and they are usually quite pale and non-impressive vibrancy wise. SO I too have always been impressed with their saturated colors that they achieved. As for me....love their paints.....JUST BE HONEST! If you put in the actual mineral and “JUICE IT UP” for added color and vibrancy that is OK with me....but SAY SO! Will be interesting to see their response as times goes on!

Have you been following the Primatek scandal? If so, what are your thoughts about it?

Love your videos Alyona...as always. Have you by any chance considered coming out with your own handmade mineral pigments given the latest info about Primatek paints? I am sure you would sell out immediately.

Beautiful! I hope you will do a video when you turn the oval swatches in your other journal into faces or whatever you decide to do.
