The Ultimate Karting Rib Protector? Bengio Bumper Carbon

I picked one up and its super comfortable

The bengio looks great but for Briggs Karting which is hugely popular in Canada where I am, the Alpinestars works well. I've raced with it for 2 seasons and no issues. I would not trust it if I was going to go race TAG or SHIFTER though. Would definitely upgrade to the bengio.

Anyone can help me please?.. My chest measures around 39 inches , right in the middle of the L and XL sizes, and I don't know which one to get!!. (L is between 36 and 39 inches while XL is between 39 and 42 inches).... Any suggestions on which one to buy?... This product is not sold on my country so I can't put it on before purchasing it... Any help would be appreciated!

Hi a friend of mine was karting and he went off and hit his chest full on into the steering wheel and suffered a lot of bruising. There seems to be a lot of protection to the sides but nothing towards the front does the Bengio cover these areas or are they still vulnerable?

I started off with bengio back when I started driving, until I bruised my ribs 😅 after that I changed to Tillett, but I feel like its also up to personal preference

This sounds like my story. Damaged ribs using the Alpinestars. Now looking for an ultimate rib guard. This one is now high on the list.

I have this one for a few months now and my rib problems are gone.
