Your channel is fantastic. It’s almost a rules clarification wiki
ОтветитьMagic just got more and more complicated. Loving it. Keep up the good shorts
ОтветитьLvl 3 judge playa
ОтветитьPeople saying it’s vision have clearly never watched What If
ОтветитьThis is really great. It's always interesting to break down the most fundamental aspect of the game and understand it better. I do have a request tho, would you mind linking at least the core ruling in a comment so that I can reference it later?
ОтветитьDidn't make sense until you showed the onmath line
ОтветитьAre you a level 3 judge?
ОтветитьWeird, I thought what trinisphere did was make playing chalice of the void where x=1 in modo painful
ОтветитьOmg your dogs are so cute... And your videos are so informative... The perfect channel
ОтветитьRelevant ruling for reference CR 601 - 601.2i
ОтветитьThe trinasphere thing really caught me off guard like wtf a card that has its own rule I had to double take that one lmao 😂
ОтветитьThoughtcast + Chromatic Star
ОтветитьMTG can be so painful
ОтветитьMan, it's good knowing some of my rules interpretations have actually been accurate. However it's so difficult to explain without everyone looking at you like you've sprouted an extra head that always lies.
Ответитьlove the dogs at the end 😂
ОтветитьYour videos are helping me understand a lot that I've struggled with before, so thank you.
Any chance you could explain rounding up and down with cards like Virtus the Veiled and Dire Fleet Ravager please?
I have trouble understanding how rounding works.
Hey man, these videos are awesome, you've helped our group out so much!
ОтветитьAnd magic players say yugioh is confusing
ОтветитьWoah, didn't know that you can choose the order of casting costs if it has additional costs. Thanks bro.
ОтветитьGoad? Could you help clarify Goad?
Like in a 3player pod. What happens when 1 player is goaded by the other 2? Now that player can attack anyone? Or does order of being goaded matter? Maybe I just shouldn't play goad.
Had this conversation last night! a guy wanted to cast embercleave, but did not have enough mana. I explained that he could announce the spell, then sacrifice one of his attackers for mana to pay for the card.
ОтветитьI love the dog cameos
ОтветитьUmm what? I've played in tournaments in shops and I'm pretty sure his trigger will still go off, and to my knowledge you have to do the additional cost before any targeting/damage, and since the red card doesn't go of cast, it goes off play, and his legend says cast his will go off and should as soon as you pay and announce your card, then he'd die to damage, that's how the stack works, almost every other game there's a judge call to ask how the stacks work. And from what I've been told what you did is wrong
Ответить"There's something in the rules specifically for Trinisphere?"
"It's a weird card."
🤣🤣🤣
I can tell this the guy who has to explain banding a lot because everyone asks
ОтветитьWish I could add this to a playlist
Ответитьcoincidentally, this is also how you can cast The Great Henge for 2 green when you have 6 mana floating in Omnath.
ОтветитьMy brain hurts
ОтветитьAs someone who once read the ENTIRE rulebook back around Scars of Mirrodin (except banding cuz that was useless knowledge) I truly appreciate your videos.
ОтветитьThis is a very simplistic explanation of the "layering" in magic.
ОтветитьThat bear comment had no right making me laugh that hard
ОтветитьKing mtg content 👑 I believe this is yours.
ОтветитьHow about for leonin arbiter when do you pay the 2?
ОтветитьThings like this are the reason why I don't like to play a lot of those, since you must sac in order to cast counterspell can be devastating especially since you'll be left without that creature
ОтветитьI really love you videos man, they have always helped me with the more tricky rules, because my dad used to play when the game first came out, and does not really know the new rules. Keep up the great work, love the vids.
ОтветитьLol
ОтветитьThe bear knows what it did.
ОтветитьYou're very smart and great guy but I would hate to play with you.
ОтветитьSheldon and Elmo! 😍😍😍
ОтветитьNgl ruric thar rly makes me wanna build a spell slinger deck around him
ОтветитьWhy does the on cast trigger not happen? Is it because the spell isn't on the stack yet?
Ответитьyeah, people don't realize you cast the spell, THEN pay for it. super simplified explanation
ОтветитьSo the damge goes off before the spells cast?
ОтветитьFavorite example of this back during 4th edition was goblin grenade. People would try to react by trying to kill the sacrifice goblin to stop spell. Like nope by time you can respond the goblin is gone.
ОтветитьTechnically, you can choose whether to draw 11 or 7 cards
ОтветитьBut doesn't ruric that's ability go on the stack after the card is played. Making it be first in the stack?
ОтветитьI've stumbled across a few of your videos now and i got a question.... what did my bears do to you, man?
ОтветитьGonna need a video made with the voice overs but it's just the dogs lol
ОтветитьSo when you mean the spell is "officially cast" you mean once the steps of 601.2a-h are met and we move to 601.2i? I feel like when we, as magic players, cast a spell that required additional costs or mode selections need to use the language in the rule book (propose) to refer to the spell before its cast. ex.
"I propose to cast Cyclonic rift, I'm going to choose its overload cost, I'll pay the costs, it's cast, and I'll trigger your Mystic Remora."
Does this apply to activating abilities as well? Just curious.
