when are you dropping the Shnub merch?
Ответитьi love you =)
you saved me from a great depression and helped me through some dark shit =)
btw i changed my name and picture - you may remember me as Patrick stufenberth!
Something I've come to realize in today's chronically online age is that human relationships have to be cultivated. In other words, when our attention span is so wrapped up in easy-to-digest things, maintaining truly worth it relationships is harder for all of us, and takes time. I know this isn't a profound thing to say, but reminders like with this video can help to hone in on what matters most, so thanks Lyle.
Ответитьi don't record anything, but i can relate in a sort of inverse way— rather than work depleting my social battery, i feel like social activity is a type of work that drains my work battery. maybe that's the same thing, maybe it isn't. i can't really tell what's a universal human experience and what's a symptom
also, full-time work already takes away 10-20 years of your life doesn't it? so that's more than a fair trade...
it's good to see that you're still here and not feeling burned!
ОтветитьIT IS hard to make new friends. It seems like everybody has their own circle of friends. At my age, and in my life's experience, I had to cut off a couple of childhood friends because we no longer aligned in life goals, etc etc. I'm sure I am not the only one going through this
ОтветитьA little Skooma will make things better.
ОтветитьI'm just gonna say this 2 minutes and 28 seconds into the video and say you're one of more wholesome Lets Players, you take a game, you're excited about it do voices, just do the game right. You laugh at the game, yourself and make it an all around enjoyable game. I've never watched a video of yours where I thought you said something maliciously. Currently watching your BG1 Playthrough and loving it.
Ответитьdon't apologize for this one lyle, very good topic that a lot of people can relate to.
ОтветитьI don’t know if what I will say is true or not but that’s what I feel … Recording while your are playing games make every thing better … like you start be more focus on what’s going on in the game …. And while recording your voice you start speak anything you feel while your playing and that kinda be comfortable if you say what really you feel
All This things plus reading people comments or watching views even if it’s few but you feel socially fulfilling so u start to not responding or not carrying about messages in phone …. Or don’t have a motivation or need to start a new relationship with other people
Hello Mister Shnubbenstein, apologies if this has already been asked and answered before, but I recall in multiple videos you alluding to having been a "not good person" in your younger years. I was wondering if that is something you could elaborate on, assuming it is not too personal a topic, of course?
Also, not to double-dip, but bonus mini question - what is the origin of the high-pitched: "Ah, yes!" line that you like to do whenever those two words show up together? :D
Thanks in advance!
Not so sound like the Boomer that I am, but this all sounds like very much luxury problems and Cadillac issues to me. However, I think I get what you are saying. Within a few months after the COOF Lockdown of 2020. I heard of several of my coworkers who were used to having face to face social interaction at least five days a week, had a very difficult time dealing with working from home and all interactions then being online. Unfortunately at least one of them offf'd themselves because they just could not deal with it. Very unfortunate ,indeed. Having said that, the lockdown was imposed upon them. People who choose to attempt make a living online, well.... they CHOOOSE to to do that. If they feel it's impacting their mental health, they have the CHOICE to work in a face to face type job again. Anyways, I love your content. You come across as very genuine and humble, yet entertaining. Keep up the good work!!!
ОтветитьCheers Lyle. Could never spin plates the way you do, it’s admirable
ОтветитьPlease don't leave. To many have left already.
ОтветитьIf you’re feeling burnt out then take some time off for yourself Lyle or take it slow. We totally understand. Keep your chin up man 👍
ОтветитьMerch drop? 🤨👔👖
ОтветитьThat probably makes sense that you’d be sick of talking even though ur talking at like a mic lol, because damn it’s a lot of talking like a pretty consistent upload schedule of multiple over an hour long lets plays for ages now that’s a lot of talking lol. I feel like lots of people here can relate to that though whoever you are, I think everyone just gets to points where one part of life just takes from your mental energy battery and we put other things off.
ОтветитьI think we are all some level of overstimulated and burnt out. Sometimes I have to withdraw from the world and even activities I enjoy just to recharge. Take care of yourself Mr. Shnub, we ain’t going anywhere!
ОтветитьI've worked retail for 20 years now...sometimes you don't want to answer calls or talk to anyone. Interacting with some people is like work and sometimes, I just want to be left alone in my environment. I think every job/work has it's side effect.
Ответитьseems Like you nees to Level your speechcraft 🤔😁
ОтветитьFeeling like this is pretty normal Lyle. I know very well how it is to just not want to interact. And I'm sure most of us can relate to that.
Anyways, you are the best let's player there is! Keep up the amazing work (as long as you feel this is fulfiling)
I don't know if you to make you this way as much as you would end up in a career that was likely to support your preferred communication style
ОтветитьThat shirt is dope
ОтветитьI have something similar, but probably much worse. I am friendly and I'll talk a bunch initially, but then my social battery feels like it's in the negative and then I just ghost everyone for sometimes months at a time. I simply cannot hold a friendship due to this and try to not make friends in the first place. I try to keep my talking to a minimum and prevent the negative outcome.
Ответитьyour doing grate Lyle don't work your self too much take your time.
ОтветитьYou aren’t alone. I’m a cop and work a shit ton for an understaffed and underpaid department. Overtime all the time. I frequently find I don’t respond to people all the time either. Even though I care about them and want to be able to spend more time. I think at the end of the day we just have so much energy, and we have to pick and choose the best ways to spend our energy. Unfortunately we can’t be everywhere and can’t talk to everyone all day. Especially if you’re a home body or a introvert.
ОтветитьWondering if you're considering doing a Fallout London playthrough?
ОтветитьThis is a very good topic.
Yep. As a creator, the focus is so much on creating and creativity, everything else seems to take a back seat.
There is something about creating for YT, that does this. I do wonder why that is.
I've got a question. Was just watching Skyrim episode 115 and wondered... who was your favorite follower to tease? For context, in this video you teased Kharjo for sniffing so much! I know Illia you teased for being a witch, killing her mother, and becoming a hagraven. Hahaha
I just wonder if you have a favorite and thought it might be a fun topic/ or that it would go well with other game-related viewer questions. :)
