Fairly close race although the Swiss never managed to look dangerous after the first leg. Can we try to leave the pre start in the edit please.

Hey, we're an infinitesimal speck in the south pacific with just over 5 million people. Cut some slack.
It took the Aussies first and then Us to cut the big bucks Americans out of the lead in yatch racing design. But I think the eventual challenger will be very competitive.
Probably Prada but don't count the Yanks out just yet.

As a New Zealander, I can honestly say this holds zero interest for 99% of New Zealanders.

These highlights reels are much appreciated by those of us without satellite access.
A big improvement, from my point of view, would be a brief mention of wind conditions at the start. That would have been already covered in the live broadcast preamble and we're hearing the live commentary, so a simple solution could be to superimpose a caption giving wind speed and direction, and short term forecast of any expected changes.
Sometimes we watch the whole highlights video without the wind speed ever being mentioned.

Does anyone know why Glenn Ashby is commentating this time and not sailing? He is just one of the best in the World when it comes to being a Trimmer/Flight Engineer.

With the exception of Shirley's comments the rest of the commentators are whining the Kiwi's made a terrible mistake on the turn going round to Leg 4 calling the "Big mistake" as the hull basically skimmed along the surface for 2-3 seconds(?) that "Big mistake" in the end was what the whole world could also see as well, the Kiwi's blitzing Alinghi to finish 38 sec's or almost 900m but "This was not a perfect race by the Kiwi's" ? Wow. For the majority of the race except the start down to the first turn to Leg 2, if all bar one of those commentators namely Shirley made it clear Alinghi has out gunned/manouvered the Kiwi's and have been on the kiwi's exhaust pipe for much of the race (?) one would have to think well which race were they watching? This has been the theme with these commentators having a go at all the worries the Kiwi's will face because the other teams are making huge gains and improving on every race with team NZ? If the Kiwi's were'nt quote: "Perfect" then would'nt that worry all the other teams? Keep shutting them up team NZ coz the commentators (Shirley excluded) clearly are visually impaired from the patch over one or both eyes. I thouht the crane operator dropped our boat 7m yeh? Even a damaged boat and still winning? Go hard bro. Kia Kaha!

Very poor showing of Team Alinghi Red Bull Racing overall. Not worthy of this very select club. These guys are on the way out.

Does anyone know why they measure the lead in metres but the course in miles? Seems odd using different measuring systems.

It seems Alinghi‘s disadvantage is a result of design issues, very sad!

No, this is not a good race for the Swiss. They couldn't hold the lead with having an early advantage. If you can't do that you can't win.
