Lemon and sugar (or simple syrup) . T C premade mix is gross
ОтветитьLove it. I don't care if it's shaken or stirred, it's going down regardless. Wish I was sipping one right now as I type this.
ОтветитьI used to make my highball drinks in a salsa jar. Then one day i remembered i have a set of Tom Collins glasses.
ОтветитьI want an unsophisticated drink that gets me hella wasted
Ответить"doesn't get you wasted" huh? hold my beer...
ОтветитьWho the flying fk uses oz?
ОтветитьActually they are good for you also😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
ОтветитьThrow in some cloves and serve it in a pie crust for a classic Simpsons experience.
ОтветитьAll time great. Elegance.
ОтветитьThe drink of the summer, every summer.
ОтветитьPlease turn up the music volume. I can almost hear him talking
ОтветитьKaylangan koto aralin kaiyak😭😭😭
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьA Tom Collins in one minute, no-nonsense. I like that.
ОтветитьA little birdie...told me that somebody here...is a Tom Collins fan....VROOOOOM!
ОтветитьCouldn’t you just add gin to lemonade?😂🍋
ОтветитьLearning a lot from all the comments. But I have my own 2 cents to add.....Since you are using Beefeater Gin here, this would now be called a "John" Collins rather than a "Tom" Collins as you are not using Old Tom Gin. In any case, I'll take either...cheers!
ОтветитьInstead of gin I use vodka is that wrong of me lol
ОтветитьCherry missing
ОтветитьIn the 70's a friend of mine would use vodka, vermouth, small envelope of tom Collins mix powder and club soda. I can't find this recipe. i have never tasted a tom Collins like this.. And no one mentions or use club soda.. Never heard of using lemon juice and simple syrup.. Must be from another country..
Ответитьyour bruising my gin!!! lol
ОтветитьI thought Tom Collins was served straigh up in the glass and not shakened
Ответитьneeds more cloves and pie crust
ОтветитьI'm a terrible person who buys cheap gin so I put a touch of cranberry cordial in to mask the taste (of the triple shot =p). Turns a classic mans drink into a pink girls drink. Please don't judge me. D=
ОтветитьI suggest you to' make Tom Collins use old Tom gin ( instead of london dry) otherwise you'll get a John Collins...
ОтветитьI'm 25 and I always get strange looks when I order my drink of choice the classic Tom Collins. It's ether A I am to young to be ordering a Tom Collins and should be ordering a cheap beer or B they some how don't know one of most iconic cocktails and think it's something I made up on the spot.
ОтветитьSimon Ford is da best!
ОтветитьWhere do they get the perfectly square ice cubes? Love that.
ОтветитьPeople arguing over minor details hahaha, I use clear lemonade instead of soda, makes a great summer drink.
ОтветитьFirst of all you supposed to make a John Collins, since you're using London Dry Gin instead of Old Tom Gin, then, just to let you know... You made a Gin Fizz, man, not a Collins.
ОтветитьI love this channel , Pro Bartenders making real drinks …….
ОтветитьGuys sorry, no one knows the old tom gin by which this cocktail gets the name ? wtf!
ОтветитьNOT a Tom Collins. The superfine sugar was substituted with syrup.
ОтветитьIt's not a Tom Collins without Old Tom gin (from which it gets its name)!
ОтветитьIt's a Tom Collins focker!
ОтветитьThis guy rocks!!!
ОтветитьA classic Martini is a crystal clear drink. Shaking it causes airbubbles to cloud the drink and according to some people, dilutes the flavors of the Gin. Wether or not it changes the taste is nothing I've taken care to compare side by side. Most drinks that include a fruit base mix can and most often should be shaken to evenly distribute the flavor. That is why a pure spirit drink such as a Martini, is not shaken.
ОтветитьYum!!
ОтветитьAlso... as far as I know, the Tom Collins shouldn't be shaken, but built in a glass over ice, because this is the original recipe... when I shake it, I call it a Gin Fizz...
ОтветитьI partially agree. You don't need to shake drinks containing only alcohol, except for some casas, mainly when vermouth is involved... Still, in my humble opinion, also drink containing alcohol and just one juice don't need shaking. I don't shake Screwdrivers. And of course you don't shake drinks containing just alcohol and sodas/sparkling wines. All of these drinks are built in the glass or mixed in the mixing glass. I only shake drinks containing more than one juice, or syrups or premixes.
ОтветитьEhh..doesn't really matter too much either shaken or stirred. It's all old wives' tales in my opinion. I'll shake a martini if people ask for it dirty, gets the olive juice nice and mixed in.
Ответитьthis is my favorite drink to get wasted on!
Ответить"gin comprises most of the ingredients". You have no idea how much that simple quote has cleared things up for me haha. Cheers guys, great vids.
ОтветитьBit contradicting given in your "Martini video" it says that you stir Gin because shaking it bruises the spirit, while it goes on to say that it's okay to shake a Vodka Martini.. I do know that generally if there's fruit juice you shake. But when it comes to gin, I'm still a bit confused whether to shake or to stir.
Ответитьjuice = shaken. clear ingredients only = stirred.
Ответить@liquor thank you very much! I was curious about the etiquette.
ОтветитьWhy is it okay to shake gin for this recipe?
ОтветитьAlways wanted to know how to make one of these! It's a lot more simple than I thought.
Ответитьi need them now badly
