As someone born on New Years day, I totally relate. Sure, I can go out the night before if I want, but normally everyone is too hungover, too tired and too poor from Christmas to do so, and I dont want to spend my actual birthday hungover every year, so it's just a nothing day most of the time

I feel you guys even tho mine is way into the summer I cannot imagine having my bd be a day that no one wants anything on or do anything.

December 25th here! I’ve never had a birthday party. Everyone is busy with festive season activities. When you’re a kid it sucks because everyone else is getting presents on your birthday. People just get you 1 present and say it’s for both. My maternal grandparents are 24th and 26th of December so they always understood.

Pugh needs to celebrate her birthday in the Southern Hemisphere - Aus, NZ, SA. January is BBQ summertime season so we're all out on the parks, beachside etc chilling with feijoa wine, sausages on the grill relaxed kinda style. Her birthday would fit quite nicely down under.

I’m Jan 2 and my brother is Jan 4. We always had combined birthdays and our parents are stingy with gifts that close after Xmas. There should be a law banning births in the month of January 😂

January 3rd is my second favourite day after January 2nd. Between working a ton (in hospitality) and family stuff, I love the feeling of the holiday season being over!!!!!🎉🎉🎉

I have an August birthday and nobody's ever around in August. I'm not saying it's as miserable as January can be, but I am saying that I've had to have half birthday parties for a good part of my life so that I could actually have friends come to my birthday parties... it kind of sucks, but I actually recommend it in this case for Florence. Like people are away in July, but it's a fun Sunny month and you get to double the birthday celebrations so it almost equals a whole one.... ❤

I disagree. There are several December birthdays in my family.

You k ow you only have one real birthday, the day you were actually born and the rest are anniversaries.. you can CHOOSE to celebrate that day on another day... Noone would care. Just pick another day.. bam it's the day YOU CHOOSE to celebrate.
