Mini stoves and water filters are good. Getting crazy with the weight of a backpack meh. If you’re going to make a large or extra large backpack then use weak materials to save weight seems like a mistake. If you’re going to carry that much stuff get the tougher pack and concentrate limiting needless items like a pillow. Most of the really ultra light guys I know go super lean on their gear. Some will cold soak their food rather than carry a stove also. Rip stop fabric is a trap, Yes it’s lightweight but it doesn’t last long.
ОтветитьUltralight backpacks , there are a lot of cottage industries making them today , I would shop around. Same for tents as with the backpacks , lots of Ultralight choices to choose from. Personally I use a hammock about 90% of the time. Stoves , not much for them , they all do the same thing. I cold soak most of my meals or use an alcohol stove or wood burning backpacking stove for a hot meal or beverage. Water filters they are a different story. I would be choosy with my choice since you don't want to get sick on the trail. As with anything , it's best to do resurrect and see how different items score for reliability and use.
