B's fan here that's been rooting for the Sabres this season to make the playoffs. Rough few games for them lately.
Gotta say though Bert's goal should of counted IMO, he redirected his foot but didn't kick it with a follow through motion.

Bruins are easily the most fun team to watch in hockey this season. I really want them to win the cup just to enjoy watching this incredible hockey for as long as possible

Bruins don’t strike me as that “star studded” juggernaut like we’ve seen in the past. Of course they have a superstar and a few big stars, but their offense seems so evenly spread through almost all four lines. If Ullmark can keep up his dominance then this team has a real chance

This was an embarrassment !!! Losing by a TD and extra point AT home, Sabres aren’t “there” yet, too many young guys, no grit, playing against men…. This isn’t October it’s March, and Sabres aren’t a playoff team….

A few games ago when Boston lost 2 I was thinking "They might be in trouble!"
Nah, I have no doubts though they really don't give a rats patooty about the points record for a season. They are resting players, tweaking things, to 7-0 wins against a pretty good team.
Last year Colorado was looking like this, now it's Boston's turn.
The team who gets them first round as Brian Sutter said," It's going to be a waste of eight days."

Some great saves by Swayman otherwise this game could have been closer. Buffalo is just not in the Bruins league this season. Sick passes from Marchand, McAvoy, Bertuzzi, Zboril and Bergie set up some really nice goals.

I’ve seen this mode from Swayman before. Reminds me of a young Patrick Roy. Scary how good he can be.

Completely unacceptable game from the Bruins. They let Buffalo have 26 shots on goal, what were they going to do if they scored on 8 of those shots? This is not a true playoffs team, their defense is garbage.

Please send Owen Power back down to the AHL. He's not ready yet.

Learned in the 70's that officials will secretly, mysteriously favor a team that is a few goals down -- but last night the "favors" for Buffalo in the first 2 periods was not only ridiculous; embarrassingly obvious. That officiating crew might want to hone their 'favoring' skills. Their conduct in the first 2 periods was uncomfortable. No one (on either side) wants to see them influence the outcome!

All around poor performance by the previously impressive Sabres.
I must say imo Luukkonen isn't a top quality goalie. He plays far too much on his knees and that limits his mobility. It's why you often seeing gliding around the ice on his pads after a goal. He's so far out of position on some of those goals it's ridiculous. Montembeault was like this last season for Montreal but he's improved drastically. His stats may not be better than Luukkonen but he's facing a lot more shots !
