I have to agree with the guy who made that comment about finding normalcy in the gay community. We come out to avoid homophobia in our current surroundings and then we move into the gay village and we are sexualized and fetishized. Very true. Some of us just want to be taken seriously but I guess when you're a minority you never will. Such as life for LGBT people.

Michelle Ross was a legendary queen and will be missed. I remember the late 80s early 90s seeing her, Chris Edwards, Stephanie Stevens and Sasha Bitch performing at Colby’s. I use to Dance my ass off at Komrades and being trade at the Barn at 3am. Can someone remind me of the name of bar that was right next door to Komrads on Isabella? They held drag shows there on Tuesday nights and Chris Edwards would host. Such great memories of a time I remember so fondly as a young man figuring out his life in his early 20s. RIP Michelle and Chris. Definitely the end of an era.
