This video is so interesting because I thought the exact same thing as I was watching it. But why would he post it if he was hiding something or is he just that unaware and or manipulated? If that were the case she would have not let him post the video, right?

It’s hard to see this a his wife’s fault when TRex Arms video was so corporate speak and cover their ass with saying little as possible, while also admitting that the inappropriate pics were sent and nothing was done about it until Lucas left. Also the fact they were trying to hide that is was his wife that was sent the pics. In my experience the one trying to down play and hide facts are usually the one more at fault. And as far as how he “got her number” that depends on how the pic was sent, text or social media. It’s not very hard to find people and message them on social media. Especially Lucas’s generation. The truth is more than likely sitting closer to Lucas than his brother/family. The pre and postnuptial issue also is telling. This is looking more like “family faith” and “family loyalty” abused the family cash cow and he walked.

The partners were all good working with him but if he died didn’t want to have work with the wife also you don’t just get tricked into giving up controlling equity after running a business for three years sounds like we’re rewriting history.

Lucas' family is part of this "Quiverfull" movement that displays some cult like qualities. It is possible she was simply pointing out the manipulative behavior present in the cult. Also, Lucas has always come off as a bit arrogant, transactional, and hyper focused on work. It is totally possible that she was being ignored or not cared for properly by him and he really was 2/3 the problem. We just do not know enough yet.

Yeah I picked up on what you're saying but It still doesn't excuse the actions of the other owners. It's not like what they did was okay and then she came along and convinced him it was wrong. What they did was always wrong and he was just too naive to see it. If you created a company and your brother bought out 51% from you knowing that would make him the majority owner and also knowing you didn't know much about business. Then you get with a woman and she says "Uh why did you sell the majority share of you're company they are taking advantage of you." Then yeah I can see why they would hate her because she is exposing them. She even signed a prenuptial agreement based on the other owners suggestions. From what has come out so far it only looks to me like she was looking out for Lucas.

You are taking the perspective that the family members didn't like her around because they saw something in her that Lucas didn't. My perspective is they didn't want her around because she saw them for what they were when Lucas didn't. He stated he didn't know what he was doing in regards to the company ownership and shareholding. We don't know all the inimate details of what went down but again it sounds like Lucas was making bussiness decisions based off the faith and trust he had with his brothers. How can you fault anyone for coming in from the outside and saying "Dude, you are getting shafted." I would expect my wife or anyone I am close to to tell me that.


As far as the marraige counseling stuff I think Lucas was just saying that he is taking responsibility for the situation which he should as a husband. Taking responsibility for your relationship isn't simping. What did you want him to do start throwing his wife under the bus and listing areas she needed to improve? You could be right about her being controlling but like you said the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Regardless of that it seems like he needed a wake-up call from either from her or elsewhere.

Of course there’s going to be problems when Lucas brings in someone who makes him realize he’s being taken advantage of. Of course the people who are taking advantage of him aren’t going to like it. Would you rather him just continue to be taken advantage of and the company just keep chugging along just fine? I think this needed to happen. I think it’s what’s best for Lucus in the long run. I think he will do just fine. Sometimes things like this need to happen. Def not the same as the Yoko situation, but I can see how it could look like it on it’s face.

His explanation sounds genuine but let's recap. Early into the company when it was basically still a start-up, Lucas apparently didn't understand what it meant to sign 51% of his company away. He also relied on his brother to write the contract instead of his own attorneys. He then didn't even read said contract. Call me crazy but that gives me the impression that his brothers realized he didn't know what he was doing. Perhaps they even saw an opportunity to genuinely help the business grow properly, but weren't willing to do the behind the scenes leg work without something close to equal ownership. Lucas would have still owned the largest chunk if the other half was split between 2 brothers. While having multiple owners and decision makers, he apparently also didn't consider the idea of voting on decisions. It's possible Lucas was contributing less to the company than his siblings in reality, so when they saw what they thought could "possibly" be some gold digger of sorts they started to worry about their own investments. To further expand on this concept, it apparently took the advice of his wife for him to even realize he was being taken advantage of. I say all that to say, it makes me wonder what kind of business acumen Lucas actually possessed, and whether Trex would have actually found success without the help of his brothers. I suppose now he has his wife to help guide him so he can start over... but I'm not convinced we have the entirety of the story here to make complete sense of it.

How dare you have an opinion? Does seem odd the company has not put out a few things to establish some of the claims and allegations are not accurate or complete. I work in the legal field so I don't expect full transparency, but some of the claims could be disputed/minimized if the Lucas claims and statements were not accurate or partially accurate. Nowhere near enough info to know at this point so conjecture is the only option, but I thought his statement was heartfelt and authentic. Anyone who believes a completely random person 100%....or heck, even 80%, hasn't matured and lived enough life yet and im not talking about age... At this point in life, when examining everyones life I know in great detail, as well as my own, I cant trust even my parents word 100% of the time. They are who I can trust 98% of the time and everyone else in my life is below that. If I cant trust my own parents (whom are near perfect examples of parents in my opinion), why would I even entertain the thought that I could trust a complete stranger.

Like you said, I believe the truth, based off my own personal experience as well as others experiences I know, to be somewhere in the middle. The wife being a younger generation chemical engineer female already tells me she has most likely ate up all of the propaganda and is most likely an extremely "independent" type woman and as lucas said, she is isolated from her family as well, which further exaggerates the "independent" and most likely controlling tendencies she has, or at least there's a very high probability this is the case. If it is true that his brothers swindled/tricked him, that is the side of the coin that definitely started the snowball and climaxed with the possible controlling new person introduced into the mix. I half way liked lucas's content and watched him from time to time, never liked the company's products so I could care less either way.

The bottom line. Lucas voluntarily entered into a business relationship with his brothers about 10 years ago, giving up control in exchange for something. That something turned out to be years of extremely hard work by his brothers to build the company, which made all of them, including Lucas, wealthy. After the company became wildly successful, Lucas became dissatisfied with not being able to steer the company and its resources as he wished. Lucas made a buyout offer that was rejected. The other partners made a counter-offer to Lucas that he voluntarily accepted and cashed out. They should have included a non-disclosure as part of the buyout, preventing anyone complaining about it on the internet afterwards. However, Lucas voluntarily took that money and then went crying to the internet, which has done a lot of needless damage to the company and to his brothers' names, and could be seen as bad faith. By crying to the Internet, Lucas also dragged his wife's name into it, and she is now going to be badmouthed (by people who recognize her type) and white knighted by simps who have never met her. The "why I left" video was unnecessary, it outs Lucas as a total simp, and it is only going to create more strife. Lucas would be wise to retract it and try to extinguish the fire he just lit for himself and for his family.

Good vid and analysis of the situation. I'm sure there will still be a grey area on who is right and who is wrong. Wordplay is a bit unreliable, especially when referring to Botkin's childish personality. Regardless, I don't like how the business side handled the situation, but I respect Botkin's decision to step back, even if he was influenced to a certain degree. I do think he is being a bit blind to his wife, but relationships are sacrifices in hopes of bringing new fruit. You determined what you wanted it to be and then made up details to make your argument stronger. I think you have ignored many clear signs Lucas was being taken advantage of or not treated equally by his brothers.

He was young when he signed over majority control of the business he founded. This was a terrible deal for Lucas. Just ask yourself, if your little brother was about to make this deal with 2 other guys, what would your advice be? The brothers took advantage of Lucas 100% here.

Then getting him to do a prenup but they not doing it when they got married and then they not willing to reciprocate with post nups initially. This is not how to treat your little brother.

Regarding the sexual harassment thing, he said it was the son of one of the other directors and the video on Trex channel confirms they did not deal with the issue appropriately and if firing the employee after Lucas resigned still makes you believe Lucas and his missus are the problem then well…
