So why would you think you can outrun a police dog when you don't even have a decent distance between you and him/her. And even so... I understand the importance of police in order for society to function and for the law to be obeyed. But American police has a cowardly and brutish character to it that makes it hard to accept/respect. The overwhelming force they seem to use in the name of personal safety of the officers, when answering to the most innocuous situations, is absurd. It makes it impossible to create any type of trust between them and the communities they're hired to protect. And too many officers are fat or otherwise out of shape and lack the stamina and physical capacity to do their job properly. Some are really good, but too many should be security guards and not cops!!
