Hi Arty,Alison and Chappy, some good tips for us (soon to be)newbies and we need all the help and advice we can get, thank you.We are looking forward to experiencing outback Queensland in the same way Slim Dusty did and wrote songs about towing the caravan with his purple ford fairlane to shows and rodeos. Thanks again and as always, safe travels.👍
Ответитьid love to go long reach any day
ОтветитьGreat advice, we started bush camping 2 years ago in a 18ft 20 year old van, bloody love it, all self sufficient for about 5 days at a time. We also travel with our Kelpie.
WA based but have got across SA and VIC and working on the rest.
If our paths cross i'd enjoy having a beer with you.
Subbed as well.
Onya Chappy.
ОтветитьLove your video mate, raw honest,I was wondering if you could test a few meat pies in your travels as a lot of small town make a bloody good meat pie, safe travels till next video.
ОтветитьEnjoyed your video and thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьGreat video, great information, thank you for sharing Arthur, Alison and Chappy. Loving your consistent effort showing us how much fun it is to travel Oz. Keep having fun. :)
ОтветитьA few more things to look out for off the top of my head is dead or weak heavy flowering branches over where you park especially if it looks like rain or storms.Secondly ,keep the pooch close by in case of 1080 baiting ,dingoes or snakes. And keep those special spots to yourself for nextime.
ОтветитьHow do you know free camps are finished
ОтветитьGoodonya digger, what corp champ?
Ответитьgreat video. thanks
ОтветитьLove watching your videos and your commentary. How do you go with Chappy went you go into malls etc where he is not allowed to go? Do you leave him in the caravan ? We have three small poodles and will be travelling soon too and was wondering what people do with their pets . Enjoy your travels and keep up the great videos. We love it 😊
ОтветитьTake me there and leave me there with the animals. Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks. Was wondering if others had discovered that there is no need for massive and expensive batteries, solar panels and inverter that just adds weight and fuel cost. The so called "Off-Grid" vans are still being pulled by a vehicle that uses some other fuel besides Sunlight. Thanks for stating the obvious. Now we know we are no alone :)
Ответить@chappy how are you doing the filming backwards showing your 4WD and van? Drone or mounted Go Pro?
ОтветитьRULE NO.1 - Pay and stay in a van park. And no fucking dogs. They are no good for nature. You people are piss poor.
ОтветитьJust Subscribed will go back have a look at some interesting content. Really enjoyed the Video thankyou. Have you been happy with your tow vehicle any problems.
ОтветитьLiked and subscribed. You did not mention being fully self contained (grey water?).. Do you find many spots that insist on that?
ОтветитьTop advice
ОтветитьWhat do you mean off grid camping won’t be around for long ?
ОтветитьBefore we set off the auto electrician doubted we'd have enough power for off grid. I have been pleasantly surprised how well we actually did. Even after 3 days straight if rain we still had enough power for our needs. We just learned to be purposeful with how we used power.
Great information as always
Can’t believe you camped under a big gum tree at the beginning of this video.
ОтветитьThanks Chappy. We have been full time for almost 5 months and have only done the odd night off grid. We are determined to do a lot more in the coming year. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьWell spoken mate ,very encouraging, I’m going to have to train my wife she’s a little worried about the off grid thing .
I will show her your video
Love Blackall one of my favourites , and Winton and the hotel there
Cheers from down south mate
You forgot the toilet paper rule, its your using it bury it deep and your waste there nothing worse than pulling, getting out to smell and sight of some lazy campers waste...and stay hitched, keep your vehicle nose pointing to your exit & pack up inc the awning before going to bed , in case you need to leave quickly it far easier to just drive straight out esp if its an emergency...there are a few more unwritten rules of camping etiquette for next time
ОтветитьGreat tips Great video 🍻
ОтветитьHows that canopy on the ute going? Does it suck dust, rattle etc? Can you lock the tailgate? Just asking as I might get one.
ОтветитьLive near Archer creek Mount Garnet is home
ОтветитьWhat are your thoughts on the Musso? if you were in market for a replacement today what would you be considering?
ОтветитьBrillant
ОтветитьCompletely true mate. Mum , Dad and 4 kids . A Holden and a 20 ft van . Across the Nullarbor before it was surfaced.
Oops nearly forgot the poodle named Jack. And back again. No job prospect in Perth then sadly. We had a ball. Ps only problem was a Vapor lock once on the way to .
Great attitude towards life my friend, enjoyed your info and your positive energy, many happy travels to you and your wife and God bless
ОтветитьAgree we hate camping around people and definitely are not caravan park people. I must say don’t agree with your comment on the off road vans. No offence intended but I guarantee you are not following us off road in that ute and van 😂
ОтветитьJust found your channel, really enjoyed it, thanks, I also live full time on the road and love the freedom of free camping. Cheers Judy
ОтветитьGreat to hear a man talk about his wife in such a positive way. We went free camping at NP and I use a CPAP machine and that was my biggest worry. But all went really well for the 4 nights we were there. Love your work.
ОтветитьGreat vid buddy. Free isn’t just dodgey dusty places…
Hey just wondering your thoughts on the snowy river van.. would you buy another one? Are you happy with it?
My home stomping grounds. You guys are georgeus kept it simple who needs the complicated things 😂
ОтветитьLove it, mate. You're living the dream
