This sort of crap happens to some of my employees ALL the time. All races and both genders. Just because you have an encounter with an idiot at the bank, does not mean the idiot is motivated by racial profiling or discrimination. Can't you simply accept that they are an idiot and that's why they act like an idiot?

I will tell you this. As DEI/ESG initiatives gain more and more acceptance and momentum, you are going to see more and more idiots in jobs like this.

At some point you gotta realize you're not speaking to a rational person. She's at work (dont matter) she know's she being recorded and this could end up all over the internet (dont matter) and is still getting joy from.antagonizing a customer in the moment. Either they dont care about consequences or think there are any.

So the teller wants him to blurt out his secure password in the drive thru within earshot of other customers. This is wrong on so many levels.

I wish he had of asked her questions since he was filming her. Like what is the policy for cashing a cashier check at this bank, why didn’t he tell her to bring the manager? I just hate being told stuff to strike up emotion. I need the full story not half. And this is just a question for me, what is the purpose of getting a cashier check for yourself on your own bank? Is it because of the amount? I’ve only used Cashier checks to actually pay someone.

If there was a said password on his account and he forgot said password... They should be able to remove or reset password with his proper identification!😡

A cashier's check is "CASH". The most you need is an I.D.

That password is da last 4 of SS, I think.

Why try to cash a check in that amount at a drive thru anyway? I would go inside. A black man trying to cash a check for five grand? In America? He should have given some thought to that before he tried that.
I don't go inside my CU unless I have a specific reason and have direct deposit. I don't need that kind of grief.

I have been a banker for nearly 15 years and a person can add a security password to their accounts. However there other ways to verify his identity. Over a certain amount ID is required whether you're a member or not.

Wells Fargo did me the same way. I had to go in with three different identification information. Their check, they goofballs.
No longer my bank.

It happened to someone I know and it has nothing to do about race,it is because banks don’t want the responsibly . What are banks good for if they don’t trust the people that have accounts there??? Fact is people don’t trust others anymore because there is so much evil now!! This is disgusting!!!

At my credit union I have a password, but it’s usually asked for when I’m withdrawing. I agree with Phil I’d be moving my business. This is their own check!

Georgia own is 💩 I been having issues with them on and off every year for 15year.
I cash the same check from the same company during the week day in the morning.
Georgias own IS BROKE THAT WHY THEY ARE GIVING SO MANY PEOPLE ISSUES.
