Petty Enterprises often cheated as well with oversized engines.

NASCAR Toyotas use the SBC2 engines because Toyota does NOT produce an OHV V8 engine.

HMS has cheated far more than JGR ever did. The two most cheating NASCAR crew chiefs are at HMS. Ray Evernham and Chad Knause.

It would be nice to know what the cheat/infraction/mod did to the car, it’s nice to know that a front ride height on one side was high or a window was not sealed properly but how? Why? What did it do?

And Joe Gibbs presents himself as an oh-so-pious Christian, going so far as to stand in the pits with a winning team's crew for a conspicuous prayer after a win. "Do not stand on the street corner to pray where others can see you, but rather do it in private. The guy owns four Cup teams and multiple Xfinity teams, all of which are famous for cheating, yet Gibbs tries to look like those wins are all by God's will instead of constantly breaking the rules! Remember "WWJD" from about a decade ago? I can assure you that Jesus wouldn't stoop to cheating to win a stock car race that, in the long run, is completely meaningless except as entertainment for the fans and lining the pockets of the car owners. All the teams cheated. Not one car in the field was as per the rule book. Everybody who mattered bought their chassis from only one of two chassis builders who featured consistently in the top 10. A normal bare tube chassis cost $800. The ones from these two builders cost $10,000. And they had plenty of customers. JGR copied McClure. Robert Yates copied Runt Pittman engines. Petty used special lightweight hemi blocks from Chrysler. RCR tried to copy everybody. Jack Roush used illegal cams for 20 years. This is what made it so interesting. Now that everything is the same, it's just a procession and Nascar will die.

The connecting rod thing would actually be detrimental. Having the engine out of balance like that is definitely not an advantage.

Man, if F1 give that much penalties for that kind of things, wouldn't be no more races. (ride heights and mesures in general are inspected on Saturday's end of the qualify, any problems detected the driver will either start in the back or from the pit lane. After race they will mesure the skip plate underneath the car and retrieve 2 litres of gas from the car, the punishment for failing any of those are disqualification from the race. After qualify the cars are in Parc fermé, the teams can only refuel the car, refill the water for the drivers and change tyres). I mean, they have as much scrutinizing as in Nascar, but the process seems more fluid.

I don’t care who you are which team you’re on or who owns the car you drive if you win a race and the car fail post inspection for some kind of cheating the driver should have the win taken away from him and the team & owner. No excuses!!! If you’re a cheater make sure you don’t get caught or everyone tied to that team loses

How can the front of the car be too low when its almost scrapping sitting still??
Sometimes in a night race you can see sparks flying off the spoiler mostly in the curves !!
NASCAR should start random checking for cheating when their lined up waiting for start time!!
If caught they would be disqualified and sent to the NASCAR motor home!!
