Maaya Sakamoto was the voice of Padmé Amidala Skywalker in the Japanese-dubbed versions of the first, second, and third episodes of "Star Wars." This song would do for a theme for Padmé as well!

Chronicles of the Heroic Knight was drastically inferior to the original Lodoss War OAV but this song still moves me to tears every time. It might be my favourite thing Yoko Kanno's ever written.

I was 15 or so when I watched this intro after the classic lodoss war ended. Then years later I found the mangas. This entire world is poetic. And so is this intro.

The liner notes of the Maaya album "Hotchpotch" has the official translation into English. From what I remember without checking, this is pretty close to what I remember except the last line I think has a more poetic translation.

I've never seen this anime in my life, but I remember listening to this song when I was around 15 on a random anime soundtrack download (I am 38 in 2024 fyi)... I think it's a great song outside of anime. The drum beats are so persuasive.
