Savage Flies Spring 2021 Fly Tying Contest (Nymphs and Wets)

Basically, you'll be asked to tie one of the following seven flies:

Alexandra Wet Fly
Grizzly King Wet Fly
Watson’s Fancy Wet Fly
American Pheasant Tail Nymph
Clouser Swimming Nymph
Copper John Nymph
Tellico Nymph

You'll pick your best fly and mail it to me by May 14, 2021. The volunteer judges will grade all entries based on criteria from the Fly Fishers International (FFI) Bronze Level program. The top ten flies will be entered in a raffle to win the Regal Revolution vise with custom color head. I'll announce the winner on May 30 (in a pinned comment to this video and in another video).

Savage Flies is a project with the mission of encouraging and teaching fly tying to as many people as possible. The channel is named after one of my western Maryland homewaters, the Savage River. I've been uploading new tying videos every Tuesday and Friday with the occasional extra video on other days.
