Would it be possible for you to do a review of the new certificate from OffSec aimed at begginners called OSCC? I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and analysis on how it compares to other beginner certs, such as the Google CyberSecurity Cert, and if you would recommend it over others.
Thank you so much, hope you have a great day!
So the technical skills are required to upgrade to a senior level position from an entry level right?
ОтветитьTnx mate for your videos. What you think about corse at coursera from Google cyber security?imm ongoing now,and think after make CompTia network..my purpose is penetration tester, but I want get In field like sec analyst…it’s good way?
ОтветитьJust go over the study material for A+, Network+, and Security+. Take notes. Just don't take the exams.
ОтветитьAre you sponsored by google? So I can take this video seriously
ОтветитьDamn i finally understood the difference. Thank you so much again!!!
I am Doing the google cert Thx to You and MadHat and I really appreciate your time and effort.
This story is sounding my life story. 7-8 years in IT, B.S. in IT, few certs including Security+ CYSA+ and hopefully now getting a cyber security job in 2024.
ОтветитьI don't want the fastest way. I want the high quality way .
ОтветитьThank you so much Unix! I am new to the IT field which currently I am enrolled in the Google Cyber Security Cert. Since you mentioned the IT Google Cert. Should I need to take it before the Cyber Sec cert? Your help matters a lot! 🤕
ОтветитьSo glad I came across your channel. You have been an immense help with your insight and resource recommendation. Can I if you know of good exam prep resources as I am preparing for ICS2 CC?
Great tip in regards to n+ and ccna.
I have my google CS specialist certification and just passed my Sec+ this was a big help.
ОтветитьAnyone to offer me an internship in cyber security
ОтветитьHello sir. I follow your recommand and start the google IT support since a few days ago and I notice that IBM also have a similar course. However, IBM IT support says it just need 3 months to complete the full lesson(google need 6 months). Since your former video says their cybersecurity lesson have similar quality. Would you consider to make an analyze video for their IT support lessons?
ОтветитьI make 70k+ in my current career. I can’t afford to take a help desk job making 30k+. Can you start in cyber security with no it experience and No degree? I am considering going to WGU but I’d rather get some certs and start working as a cyber analyst.
ОтветитьApparently if you understand the NET +, basic linux, and basic Python you can be a Security Analyst lol
Ответитьwith all respect to you but what are your credentials i couldn't find your LinkedIn and how do i know and to make sure that if i follow these steps will not find any entry-level positions, thanks in advance 🙏
ОтветитьHey, I subscribed to your channel when it was around 0.5k subs. As always your content are valuable, no click bait, no trash talks. I had gone through all the videos. Thank you so much for this road map. I was really confused about Cisco and CompTia. Thank You so much mate. You're more like a mentor for me. 🙌
ОтветитьThank bro, i desperately needed that kind of insight. Its tough when you are going solo without any tutors
ОтветитьJust want to ask, why did you recommend the Google IT Support instead of the Google Cybersecurity?
ОтветитьI'm 43 and thinking of getting into cybersecurity I don't have any experience in this field but I'm looking to learn. Is it too late?
ОтветитьPlease help me 😭
ОтветитьHi, what about an Microsoft cybersecurity analysts course
ОтветитьCan i just learn only networkig basics or should i learn network+
ОтветитьThank you so much for such an informative video. Most CS analyst-level jobs are USA-based. Can I work remotely as a cyber security analyst (or any CS post) from a different country than working from the USA? Will demography be a problem in CS jobs? Or are they allowed to work from a foreign country?
ОтветитьGreat video with great advices!
Ответитьsir being a cyber security analyst is a corporate job right?
and being a ethical hacker is not?
but does being a ethical hacker earn as much as one will earn as a cybersecurity analysis or architect
Hello sir. I just want to ask a question. Should I learn these skills first before taking the coursera cybersecurity course or should I take the cybersecurity course then learn these skills? Thank you so much!!
ОтветитьDo we really not need to pass the exams ? Is it really enough to only write it on your resume ? I’m asking since I do not hold a degree from within the IT field. Is it enough for me to just learn the skills, write it on my resume and apply for a job ?
ОтветитьHey man,
I've seen your videos and appreciate the time explaining cybersecurity and the roadmap.
I have a web development background, but recently decided to change to a cybersecurity role. Thus, taking google cybersecurity program, i got more intrigued on Network analyst. My question is what would be a roadmap to become a Network Analyst and be able to stand out when job hunting?
Thank you in advance!!
@UnixGuy
This is more realistic.
So take stuff and apply for emtry level jobs and work part time jobs learn the ropes
Can that work too
You make good videos but lrovide the free courses Your provided courses are high.😅😅.
ОтветитьI'm trying to get into cybersecurity entry level roles mainly as cybersecurity analyst or SOC analyst. I'm still learning, but I do have the basic skills, if anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.
ОтветитьThank you my friend! This helps!
ОтветитьThank you❤
ОтветитьI think AI can automate easily automate the low level cybersecurity job and with the help of AI productivity would be increased so It creates a lots of job loss 😢
ОтветитьI once pursued a long-term IT degree with a concentration on animation at that time. I spent nearly six years working as an office assistant and doing a lot of paperwork. I made the decision to return to the IT industry, and thanks to my good fortune, I was able to land a job as a soc analyst for a small company without even having to go through a thorough interview process. I don't know what to do to develop the skills of a SOC analyst right now because I'm so confused. My sole responsibility was to keep an eye on our custom-built siems, We only have this MDR thing which giving us a lot of false positives alerts. I tried to apply to another company but keep failing to meet their standard since the company that I'm working on right only limit us to monitor the MDR and it's has a lot of flaws which they don't even care to fix. I even failed the CC ISC2, and as a result of that failure, I don't really feel confidence in my abilities at the moment. Nevertheless, seeing your videos inspires me to go forward and quit whining.
ОтветитьSo.... when are you releasing your own all in one certification @UnixGuy? ;)
ОтветитьI am following you for a while, awesome content.
I wanted to ask your advice quickly if you please, I want to work in cybersecurity and I would benefit from your advice what to concentrate my studies next, here are some quick facts about me:
- I am currently 32 years old
- I started working in IT in my 20s, I had various Service Desk jobs, Backoffice jobs and Onsite jobs in which I gained knowledge with various operating systems (very fundamental)
- I am currently a Network Engineer and managed to get my CCNA recently.
At the moment I am learning Linux Essentials and probably will do LPIC.
Thank you in advance
Thanks for the video and advise, pls help me with the roadmap for non technical skills i need for cyber security,
ОтветитьHi UnixGuy,
Please give us a proper roadmap of cyber security, what the first things we need to learn? and I'm learning python now, its good startup to getting in a cyber security?
What others Linux courses or labs do you recommend? Should I start with that first or with getting Security + first?
ОтветитьHello, thanks for the great material. From your list, I must do Linux and Google IT, the rest is already done. I have a question. I am 50 years old and after losing my job in PR/Marketing sector I decided to change career and try Cybersecurity. On March I completed an immense 20-week Cyber Security Analyst course (CyberNow Labs) with very tough hands-on component, passed CompTIA Security+. Currently I have been working as analyst in their SOC, working SIEM (Splunk Enterprise, QRadar), EDR (Crowdstrike Falcon & Sentinel One) tools, making phising investigations (Proofpoint and manually), root cause analysis. Every day it's like 3-5 hours working on tools, the rest LinkedIn and applying. After 3 months, I have applied for 400-500 jobs so far and everything I got was one first round interview. Not a success, really, I need more interviews. I got a feeling I need to change something. Do you have any suggestions? I would really appreciate your answer. Best regards, Pawel.
