Prayers for the young man but why did his brother have a gun, he will never have a piece of mind his brother will haunt him forever. To kill your own family is unconscionable. I as a mother could not fathom this and my son would probably go on to hate me, I couldn’t stand by him and it would be a long time before I could ever look at or speak to him again.

That he may be charged. So what's going on and why would he be charged anyway? Did he bring the gun in the house or was the gun brought in by the mother? If the gun belongs to the mother, or another adult family member, yes they should be charged too. Right now we don’t know all the details, it’s different when a 6 year old finds a gun in the house & shoots someone. Unfortunately this 14 year old may have gotten the gun elsewhere, & the mother didn’t know he had it.
