ОтветитьI've been on and off heroin and crack for the last 25 years since 1998/99 I was only 16/17 years old and I wish I never tried it but I can't change that now. I'm still struggling with it and I think that's how it'll always be because it's not changed in the last 25 years and it terrifies me tbh. I want to go to rehab and learn how to use skills to stay on the right path, but I don't know if it's possible to get to a rehab without the huge cost that I don't have the money for. I just want to be better and enjoy life instead of hating my life 90% of the time like I do. I just don't know what to do, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know what you think. I will check back here in a few hours to see if anyone has any ideas for me to try. Thanks for reading my commen. Have a great day. Best wishes friend 👍🏻

ОтветитьGod bless him. You could see the good person on the inside and his wife is a saint. Not many women would’ve stood by her man. God did not forget him. And God bless him. And I know he’s thankful. God bless his wife, his children, and most of all God bless him. Did you see how healthy happy and positive he looked at the end? Yeah… So did I. 🫶🏻🙏🏼
ОтветитьI'm sorry rob my mom did some bull too

ОтветитьThe ability to scratch together a $100,000...for drugs..but cannot afford anything else..is beyond my comprehension.
ОтветитьThe only disease worse than heroin or crack is Alzheimer's

ОтветитьI’m glad he said he saw things even grown people shouldn’t know about. Being in recovery, myself, that’s so true! The human brain did not evolve to handle these kinds of substances. Isolating and concentrating extremely strong substances, whiich artificially create dopamine release, happened only very recently in history. They were created to help people who suffer from diseases and pain. Yet, they ended with being a cruel joke on the human brain, which is hardwired to reward and reinforce activities which cause dopamine release. This is because, in nature, dopamine producing activities were GOOD for survival. The midbrain can’t tell the difference, and that’s the area of the brain that developed to ensure we survive. Therefore, as per Maslow’s hierarchy, it trumps the prefrontal cortex, because survival needs are primary. The midbrain is also known as the mammalian brain, because it’s the part of the brain we have in common with animals…it operates, based on instinct, and our instincts tell us to seek dopamine. True story! If you are struggling with a Substance Use Disorder, you’re not bad. You’re just human. If the brain is in a state of chemical imbalance, before you try drugs and they make you feel better (however temporarily), your midbrain records the experience as extremely important to survival, and signals you to repeat it. If you don’t, and have a dopamine defecit when you crash, a survival emergency is recorded, and nerve pathways begin to be shut down, since higher order thinking is a luxury, in an emergency. It takes 1-3 years to grow new ones, when you quit, so how are you supposed to know you need to quit? That’s why a lot of people don’t get help until their life is a shambles, or it’s mandated. It’s because they don’t have full access to the prefrontal cortex’s rational thinking and moral reasoning abilities…not because of being under the influence, but because of the way addiction changes the brain and compromises it’s normal functioning. I’ve formally studied addiction neurobiology, and if everyone had this information, no one would hate or be mad at people with substance use disorders.
ОтветитьI'm only sober because I'm broke and don''t want to get in trouble or let my family know.
