I finished this series on Wednesday. very interesting and disheartening. the line that stuck with me was the mother of that really young girl who was essentially kidnapped by the janitor. when the mom said she didnt call the cops bc she didnt want her other kids to be taken away.... I was crushed. for a parent to have to negotiate a concern like that when your kid is missing is such a waste of energy. I also didnt realize (should have) the kids were being considered a runaway. I just didnt know how poorly the system was working for us (should have). so I'm thankful for the doc bc I see where the problems are understand silent support for this issue is not helpful
