Hobart was so influential his ministry was important to Chino until the day he died. Same as myself. This lawsuit was obviously in violation of the constitution of the United States. Freedom of religion was uppermost to the founders. No one was forced to follow the teachings or ministry of Hobart Freeman. If one did it they chose to do it.
I agreed with Hobart to the degree he agreed with Jesus. Faith Assembly was a step up for many people wanting to follow the Lord in those days. The "regular" Churches were so far from Jesus words Faith Assembly did....seem like a Lighthouse. Freeman fell short of the foundation doctrine of Christ. Thats where he veered off.

Keep in mind forceably taking/kidnapping(?) an adult to get deprogrammed has had serious legal consequences...both civil and/or criminal. There have been serious lawsuits against anti-cult groups/individuals for their participation in physically taking/detaining someone.
Minors can be a different matter, especially if it's instigated by the minor's family.
Some have successfully met/confronted the person they were concerned about in the manner of an intervention regarding their drug/alcohol addictions and how it's affecting them and those they know, and that they are free to leave it they SAY they want to leave.

It's easy to claim you would do something until you're actually in the situation. Freeman claimed he would do one thing IF he got sued and then did something different WHEN he was sued.

We just got started…and Chino’s list sounded SO much like a reading I would have been taught as I grew up up shifting from Pentecostal Holiness, to Church of God, to undenominational Pentecostal, to AOGod!
