Miss Marple needed a holiday after a fortnight like that!
ОтветитьWOW.
ОтветитьAMAZING.
ОтветитьMuch more wholesome than the new Marples, love this origjnal version best.
ОтветитьWhen you see the maid coming with the breakfast tray you expect someone is dead, so she can drop the tray and scream, but not this time. It's only miss Marple's breakfast.
ОтветитьOne of my favorites, both the story & Joan Hickson who to me is the real Miss Marple.
ОтветитьEn castellano hablado 😡😈🇨🇱
ОтветитьThis episode highlights the English propriety; it is something else!
ОтветитьWonderful! I saw this one with Geraldine McEwin as well, but never saw it with John Hickson. Thank you for uploading this. I hope you have uploaded more.
Ответитьmaigret and marple in one!
ОтветитьMs Hickson is my favorite Miss Marple.
ОтветитьThere are a number of little hidden jokes in this production. The reference to Lady Bracknell for taking a "bunbury". In the 1952 movie 'The Importance of Being Earnest', Lady Bracknell's daughter Gwendolyn Fairfax was played by the marvellous Joan Greenwood, who in this story is Miss Marple's (Joan Hickson's) gossipy friend to take tea with and whom has a particular fondness for seed cake. Very funny. Both story lines hinge on the importance of propriety, 'tea time' and knowing one's parentage.
ОтветитьPeccato sia in inglese, la migliore Miss Marple tra tutte le attrici che l’’hanno interpretata ❤
ОтветитьWhat's with that hysterical laughter 12 mins into the serial?
ОтветитьLa migliore Miss Marple. Peccato non ci siano episodi in italiano😢
ОтветитьElvira shot Micheal Gorman. It was Bridget who was fired at dressed up to look like Elvira.
ОтветитьNO ONE CAN BEAT GERALDINE MCEWAN AS MISS MARPLE. ALTHOUGH JULIE MCKENZIE IS A CLOSE 2ND
ОтветитьThis is horrible and boring. Horrible Miss Marple can NEVER compete against TRUE Miss Marple Geraldine McEwan
Ответитьvery slow. Geraldine McEwan is the best Miss Marple
ОтветитьCan anyone please tell me what Lady Sedgewick's car was in this feature? Beautiful looking thing. Brilliant series. I watched these when they originally aired.
ОтветитьThe Vicar's BOAC travel bag; I started flying with my mom in the mid 60's. I had one of those bags. Quite popular, BOAC stands for British Overseas Air Carrier.😊
ОтветитьTem dublado?? Obra prima ❤
ОтветитьI'm glad I never liked Hickson as Miss Marple, so I can watch all of her series now for the first time. She never conveyed any of the charm Marple was known to have. That's why I think Geraldine MacEwen was the best one of all.
ОтветитьEveryone of the actresses who have played Miss Marple are my favorites. They each bring their own interpretation to the marvelous role.
ОтветитьI've watched this many times, but I only just became aware of the alternating juxtaposition of modern and traditional in the opening scene, indicative of the two eras that Miss Marple visited Bertram's hotel.
ОтветитьJoan Hickson is amazing! Caroline Blackiston is amazing as Bess Sedgwick! Thank goodness Americans never tried to remake this!
ОтветитьWexford actor George Baker
ОтветитьCould you add "Turkish Subtitles", please ?
ОтветитьExcellent, thank you!
ОтветитьI saw a later production of the same book and it was also very good but the plot was a little different. Very enjoyable.
ОтветитьSuperb
ОтветитьUnbelievably slow.
ОтветитьBeautifully done!
ОтветитьTo me, Joan Hickson is the best Miss Marple, although I quite enjoyed Geraldine McEwan's prtrayal. Rutherford was so different and fun, and Mackenzie was also good in the roll. Caroline Blankiston (Bess Sedgewick) is wonderful here, as she was in later years as Lionel's ex-wife in "As Time Goes By', and even more years later in guest appearances in 'Midsomer Murders'. Whenever I see James Cossins (the Colonel) I can't help but laugh as I remember Basil Fawlty crying and in a high pitched tone, asked...'Outboard motors", in a Fawlty Towers great and funny episode 'The Hotel Inspectors'. Love your Miss Marple uploads, and hope that you will have all Miss Hickson's episodes as well as the other TV Marples. Thanks, and again...Great job.
ОтветитьI love this actress! There is no one better than she! She is my favorite Miss Marple. ❤
Ответить14::27 There sits Inspector Wexford (BBC crime series)
ОтветитьSo is this the first film where she meets that detective? I know I've seen him in other Marple films, working with her, but I always assumed he was a character from the start. This film is will into the middle of Hickson's collection.
ОтветитьThis is so good compared to the Geraldine McEwan one.
ОтветитьI'm shocked! Maybe they can get away with that in England, but here in the good old U.S that's called ILLEGAL SEARCH AND SEIZURE!!!
ОтветитьBest miss Marple.thanks😊
ОтветитьI happened to watch the two film adaptations shortly after each other, this version with Joan Hickson and the later version with Geraldine McEwan. Both films are very different, although the storyline is more or less the same in both and both films are also very well made, as can be said of many English crime films. As much as I like the first film from 1987, the version from 2007 with McEwan appeals to me a little more. It's hard to say exactly why, because as I said, I think both versions are excellent! Maybe, just maybe it was the twinkle in Geraldine McEwan's eyes...
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this! My foray into TV Miss Marple was the Geraldine McEwan/Julie McKenzie series, which, in my opinion, developed more of the heart of our Stellar Spinster Sleuth. Still, it's been a delight to to experience Joan Hickson's somewhat sharper portrayal. Plus, it's great to see some of our favorite Brits in an earlier role, such as Caroline Blakiston, before we knew her as [ROTJ] Mon Mothma.
ОтветитьIf you are up to no good miss Marple will wreck your existence.
ОтветитьJoan Hickson the best marple ever can’t be beaten ❤
ОтветитьWow!!! what a movie ! bravo !!!
ОтветитьMr. Humphries are you free
😅😅😅😅😅😅
