What could go wrong watching only Stephen King film adaptations for a month and podcasting about it daily?

Come hear where it all began. For Split Tooth Media's first October Horror series in 2019, Cinesthesia hosts Jason Michelitch and Jim Hickcox tested the limits of sanity with Hell to the King: A 31-part miniseries about Stephen King film adaptations. From The Shining to The Mist (2007) the Cinesthesia boys binged as much King as their heads and hearts could handle and talked us through the journey. Jim's initial hypothesis that there are no bad Stephen King adaptations is quickly challenged. Jason finds new horrors in revisiting many of these films as a new father.

Now available on YouTube for the first time, find the series in all of its beautiful and maddening glory. Jim and Jason find some favorite horror films — particularly 'The Mangler' and 'Graveyard Shift' — and some adaptations that could have been avoided entirely. But through it all, they go deep into the world of Stephen King and his seemingly endless supply of horror. What is a Sleepwalker, exactly? Is Misery a comedy? Who greenlit Cujo? Did Mr. King actually sing AC/DC songs at the band to win their approval to license their music for Maximum Overdrive?

Grab your favorite whole wheat yogurt, and settle in for Hell to the King.

We love you.
