I think he got really angry at her. She was beautiful, intelligent, confident, outspoken, accomplished, and she was entirely out of his league. I think that she intimidated him and it made him angry. I must not see what yall see because I don't think he was being rude in the bar footage, It really looked like he was shy and insecure. He could barely look at her. He may not be used to girls like her, and he didn't like the way she made him feel. He probably felt small and he wanted his power back. Just my theory.

I have a feeling the pills found in her house were diet pills. I remember being that age and also taking pills to lose weight. It's very common in girls to feel unhappy with body shape. Ladies, there is quirky and then there is weird. At 19 yrs old, it's not always possible to differentiate. Trust your gut. Mentally prepare in advance how you can bow out of any meet up/date/situation. We can politely do so, and not risk our well-being. Tell someone you trust when, where, and with whom you are meeting/dating. Keep in contact, share your location, it's not a burden to those who love you. ❤

Rewatching - the former tenant Pete didn't really help the prosecutor. And he sure liked to babble a lot. Cotton took advantage of that. Clearly former tenant hated Max but his oversharing actually helped defense more than he probably planned to - although thankfully the Jury didn't give it too much weight. It was also very clear that Pete was not happy he got pulled into court. I do have to say - Max had to be aware his noisiness annoyed the dude so perhaps he was extra quiet. The part where he said he heard Max dragging something down the stairs at the time Max was known to be gone is curious - and Pete was set on the fact he thought he heard Max at a time where it could not have been Max. I wonder what that was.
