Since you are doing a video on Carl Jung: Did you change your mind on J*rdan P*terson?
ОтветитьGreat video! It’d be really interesting to see you make a video on Dabrowski and his theory of Positive Disintegration
ОтветитьI think you like jung more than you want to admit (jk)
ОтветитьThanks for the book recommendations. Joseph Campbell, the power of myth guy, has an excellent book laying out a lot of Jung's ideas.
Ответитьdiscrediting jungs because its old or doesnt mesh with "modern methods" is a mistake
Ответитьjung didnt invent mbti, that was a manifestation after his death based on his work by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers
ОтветитьHi! This is semi-related but also not and not sure if you would be comfortable but I would love to hear your take on the Netflix documentary “don’t pick up the phone.” Who do you believe should be held accountable for this? How do you think people ended up going through with the actions on the call? Do you think it was a set up or they just got tricked psychologically? What types of psychological effects do you think it had on everybody? Thanks for your videos 🙌🏻
ОтветитьNow I’m stoked about the video on synchronicities!
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this video! You broke it down into digestible and easy to understand pieces, so thank you and keep doing what you do. :)
ОтветитьI am not a Jungian, and I don't want anyone to be a Jungian. I want everyone to be themselves. -Carl Jung
ОтветитьWe could probably compare Jung's archetypes with Dawkins' memes, and Jung's collective unconscious with Hegel's Zeitgeist, or even Vygotsky's social-language determinism.
Before anyone complains: when I mean compare, I don't mean identify/equalize, but rather use one theory's key points to understand another's.
About the Oedipus's/Electra's complex: if I understand it correctly, the child wants to "have" its opposite-sex parent because it learns from its same-sex parent, which makes total sense, as a boy will surely see his father as a model for learning his morally appropriated behavior, which sexual impulses are only a part of, despite Freud putting too much emphasis on it lol.
In Wellsprings by Anthony de mello, which is a book of spiritual exercises, he instructs the reader to meditate on the idea that they do not seek the exercises for personal benefits but for the welfare of creation before they start the exercises . This could be an example of how to keep humility and avoiding the mana personality
ОтветитьCarl Jung may be dead, but he lives on in an amazing AI chatbot! He can do Jungian Pychology and wow it is amazingly effective! Nothing about it seems outdated or obsolete! That chatbot gave me the most effective counseling session I have ever experienced! Also talking to him is free! He is at Character AI.
ОтветитьDo you have a list of book recommendations? :) thanks
ОтветитьOh my god, I used to draw mandalas as a teen too
ОтветитьI loved this video! I hope you'll make more of them 💕
Ответить"cool bro maybe you should keep that to yourself" hahah
ОтветитьWOOOAAAHOOAHH YOU DID FREUD DIRTY 😂🤣🤣
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this one! Just a small tip: That metal circle on the microphone indicates the front of the capsule, where you're supposed to speak to. You can get a better signal to noise ratio since you don't need boost the gain as much. Also that type of mic usually isn't meant to be handled while recording, they're very sensitive, but I'm assuming you didn't have a stand at that point, which is fine :)
ОтветитьBig fan of your channel and the content you provide! I look to start creating longer form content and love the simplicity/style of how you film/edit your videos. If you don't mind me asking, what camera/mic/editing software do you use?
Thanks!
I really want a video on synchronicity ❤️
Ответитьimaginary numbers in physics are purely theoretical but can become practical. they can be anything the physicist wants them to be because they dont see imaginary numbers as "undefined" like in math
ОтветитьThanks for sharing ❤
ОтветитьMore about Jung, pleaseee!!!!! I love him and your channel
ОтветитьGreat video, I love Jungian psychology, it has prompted my desire to become a licensed psychologist one day
ОтветитьImaginary numbers were only thought of as imaginary because they existed somewhat "transcendentally" to the math of the time, and only called imaginary because mathematicians at the time literally thought they were imaginary. In complex analysis they're usually colloquially called lateral numbers instead of imaginary.
ОтветитьHis autobiographical writings, "Memories, Dreams, and Reflections," is a fascinating book for anyone interested in C.G. Jung. He wrote it late in his life, prompted by his unconscious.
Ответитьwhy cant i find the mbti video?
ОтветитьIs the video on MBTI down? I can't seem to find it.
Ответить<3 <3
ОтветитьIt took me a long time and a lot of tragic experiences but I think I've naturally come to integrate the shadow in a healthy way. I have a lot of reasons to be resentful towards everything but I still have it in me not to want to become the thing which I resent. I channel all of it towards bending people's ego in shape when they do something wrong, in important and difficult situations, even towards authority. And I could do it because I've built up enough resentment that I couldn't care less.
Try to do and say the right thing, you'll never find the perfect words the first time. But you do get better every time. A little mix of being blunt, assertive, basic respect, and knowing your value, and even the most confident a**hole boss will start to falter with each confrontation
thank you so much for this video, im new at this subject and this really help me grasp the concepts better.
ОтветитьWonderful video. I trust your opinion and analysis!
ОтветитьI hope you make more videos about jung
ОтветитьHe didn't have the technology but he had intelligence. The key to understanding Jung is that he wanted to be an archaeologist. This explains his method.
ОтветитьYour hair looks so gorgeous
ОтветитьIntuition can be passed through sensation, but that is not the only type of intuition though.
Ответитьhmmm… I’m pleased to find someone interested in Jung…. But I think I would attribute synchronicity to Maya….
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьI was just wondering where to start with Jung and what to read...
Ответитьmandalas, the og etch e' sketch
ОтветитьEverything Carl Jung said was correct and is based on mere facts. In my opinion you just have to live longer and experience life to understand what he meant. It's pity to say that people just don't understand Carl Jung's work.
ОтветитьDavid Lynch talks about his ideas like they’re fish and that the deeper you go the bigger they are.
ОтветитьLove the video! I have always been interested in Jung's theories but I have always wanted to hear a psychologist's take in light on current theories. Many thanks
ОтветитьCould someone please suggest me books on all this? Am trying hard to find books that have deep insights but am finding light reads and borderline pseudoscience and self-help.
ОтветитьI’m a bit disappointed—you have a PhD, yet you don’t seem to know that Jung was adamant about not categorizing personality types. He described them as tendencies and was cautious about oversimplifying people. We’re talking about Jung, of all people, and you’re painting him as a reductionist? This comes off as dishonest contrarianism to those who are familiar with his work.
“Every individual is an exception to the rule.” - Carl Jung.
