Don't you engineers think of anything besides benefits? Timing belt slips enough or chain jumps. Valve timing kicks in throwing off the ignition, things become too out of whack and BAM, engine parts, coolant, and oil all over the road.

Now it’s only $5000 more to rebuild a engine then it was before without it thanks Toyota.

VVT - i system (Variable Valve Timing intelligent) use a computer to optimally control the opening and closing timing of the intake valve in accordance with engine conditions.

Nice video. Question: a toyota engine 4.7 vs the same engine with vvti (lexus gx470 2004 vs 2006) were the VVTi makes diffrence? At low rpm or at high rpm? I think at very high rpm tge vvti change the timing specs to deliver more HP and torque so under 3500rpm are similar. What do you think? TKS

Helps start up...what about later down the road, where the actuator starts to make noise on cold starts?... Is that the improved start-ability? Being on lower-high (123460) mileage Toyota. I think this is bs. Mine started at 100k.

I have a prolem with my manual previa 2000 vvy 2,4 gasoline. In second gear give pulls and pulls and I have to increase the gas to stop doing , if not the car shakes like it is in wrong gear...please help
