It looks on you line up that the Fischer Ranger runs short lengthwise vs some of the the other 170cm skis you review. Is this the case?
ОтветитьHi I am looking for an all mountainski and I need some help. I am 188cm and 95kg and an good intermediate/ advanced skier and I am skiing %80-90 on piste and 20-10% off piste. I am considering:
Salomon stance 90 2025
Salomon qst 92 2025
K2 mindbender 89Ti 2024
I am a short turner normally but I want to advance my long carving. Thank you very much :)
Where would you rank the 4frnt msp91?
ОтветитьWhich of these would you say most directly compares to the rossi Black Ops 92? Would you say that that ski is a better on trail performer than the qst 92?
ОтветитьI ski with a group of guys who are all in our late sixties, and we all ski 50 plus days a year. All of us travel to out-of-town resorts but ski mostly on our home hill. We all have different models of Nordica Enforcer. I have an older 93 model that I call my SUV ski and the 100. I also have a Head I-Titan for carving on groomers and bought last summer a 22-23 Blizzard Rustler 11 for powder days (I really like this ski). I also bought last summer a 20-23 Nordica Enforcer 88 that I just love. I easily skied this ski more than any other pair. Our local hill has just been open on weekends this month, April and I am skiing the 88. I think it is a little quicker ski than the Enforcer 93. What I like about the Enforcer 88 over the Head I-Titan is its versatility. I think the 88 does a little bit better on the ungroomed runs that become pretty fun to ski after the sun warms them up just a little this time of year. These skis have no problem going all over the mountain on new snow days of 1-3 inches. Anything more than that I would probably ski on my Enforcer 93s unless it was a really good dump of say 6- 8 inches or more and I would then ski on the Blizzard Rustler 11. In the past when traveling by plane I have always taken my Enforcer 93 ski. Now depending on the snow forecast I probably will take either take the Enforcer 88 or the blizzard Rustler 11.
ОтветитьQst92 vs qst98 vs stance 96? I Ski out west (whistler, stevens, mt baker) also any reccomendations for length I'm 5'7 approaching advanced level
ОтветитьBob seems to bend every ski so easily.
Ответитьhi i am considering buying either the declivity 92ti or the black crow serpo. maybe you can help me with my decision (for normal resort days i have a kästle mx83. which i like a lot, also due to 16,3 radius but i think it could give a bit more rebound in short turn) the mid 90ski i would take out, when there had some fresh snow, but I go skiing with friends who ski mainly on piste. so it should ski as good as possible on piste, but when we see a nice pow run off piste, we might give that several gos until its tracked out. which of these you think has more pow potential/float? from what i see, the serpo has more rocker, but on the other hand its mounted about 5cm more forward!? do you think the declivity is more snappy and can carve smaller radius turns? i would prefer that on piste. best harry
ОтветитьLooking for some advice on a few skis here: Ripstick 88, Kanjo 84 and Blaze 86/82. I ski the Poconos groomed trails and I’m looking for something different than a typical carving ski, more like a freeride or all mountain that still does well on groomers. Want something that’s just very easy to ski, very maneuverable, playful, fun, whatever! I’m guessing the Blaze is the most maneuverable of these but may not be as good on the hard stuff? Your thoughts on these or any other ski to consider? Very strong intermediate, 5’10”, 200. Also, you guys really set a high standard with these reviews, very informative! Thanks
ОтветитьHey guys,
thanks for this comparison. My personal favorite is the Kästle MX88, but I'm not sure which length to choose. I'm about 191cm (6.3) tall and weigh about 85 kg, and I'm a mix of intermediate and experienced skier. Witch lenght would you guys recommend me?
Am I right if I feel that you do not recommend the the SR88 for a heavier advanced skier for eating piste kilometers without burning legs?
ОтветитьThe Atomic Mavericks - I'm getting reports (fomr official channels and social channels) that the base design of the series with the cut colour design is inferior to a plain black - any thoughts from you guys?
ОтветитьGreat videos! Curious how you'd compare the QST 92 to the Stance 84. I'm looking for something close to a do it all ski for the Tahoe area mostly on trail for an intermediate skier with ambition to get better.
ОтветитьI absolutely love these types of reviews! Thorough and honest are what we need. I am a heavier skier, finding info on weight comparison I find vital in making decisions... Thank you!! Bob, what is your number 1 pick for 1 ski quiver?
Ответитьi ski a blade optic 92,168 cm ,5 9 150 .Would you recommend a 173 or 168.I see you have a late season deal
ОтветитьYou’re great guys I found your channel by chance and I’ve to say it’s fantastic!!! I would have added to this list a mention for the Brahma 88 SP which is a great ski and less stiff, easier to turn compared to the normal 88, or at least that’s my personal impression having tried both. I live in Italy in the Alps and on slopes I see a lot of Brahma 88 SP around while really only very few Brahma 88. Love your channel, bye!
ОтветитьHi thanks for the vid. I am currently looking at getting new skis and debating between the QST 92, blizzard rustler 9, or the k2 mindbender 96c. I ski in Europe and generally ski 70% piste and 30% off piste but will always try and go offpiste if there’s good snow. Therefore im looking for an all mountain ski that can do a bit of everything. What ski do you think will be best in these conditions and is there any others that you would recommend? Thank you
ОтветитьHi Jeff - great comparison. I am a 5'11 90kg advanced skier with a Dynastar m-menace 90 at 180 length and 92 under foot, radius 27m. I am looking for something a better on the piste/carving and also a bit more manoeuvrable, but that maintains some off-piste ability. Currently deciding between the QST 92 and the Declivity 92, and potentially the '24 Fischer Ranger blue (92). Do you have any suggestions?
ОтветитьWhere would Rossignol Sender 94 Ti be on this list?
ОтветитьIt seems all roads lead to the Mirus Cor (especially for Jeff) — as something truly standout, fun, unique.
Would you recommend 184 for an Advanced skier, 175lbs, 6’1”?
Great Reviews!! Big list to choose from!!👌
ОтветитьWhich set of skis would you recommend for me? I’m 54, pretty good shape, west coast skiing, beginner-intermediate. Mostly groomed and powder. QST 92? Just want to ski and have fun. Not a daredevil. Thanks
Ответитьanyone of you ever skied the libtech wreckreate 92? Very interested if the magnetraction works on skis, seems to be very interesting to me
ОтветитьHaven’t skied in 10 years. Live East and would ski weekly and would go west for a week or 2 once a year. Looking to get back in it. Would the Elan mentioned on the video be a good fit for me? I’m 6’0 220 and like to go off piste and use the whole mountain but being east do a lot of groomers
ОтветитьNot Scott pure free 90 ???
ОтветитьHi Guys good job, I ski a Ikonic 84ti which works well except on firm snow. It has a similar metal shape as this new mindbender 89ti. Will it be better on the frontside than the Ikonic 84 ti
ОтветитьIm trying to decide between the Fischer Ranger 90 and the Elan ripstick 88. Im an 5ft 7 and 165lbs intermediate skier who wants to Progress his carving, I stay most of my time on the groomers but when there is Good Snow i Like to Go in the trees and the bumps.
Maybe Someone of you can help me with my decision.
Thank you guys!
I went with a 2024 K2 Disruptor ti2 WC PISTON w/Marker XCOMP Bindings. Stiff as the Blizzard Brahama's. Why I love them? The cut, 110/71/96, I've been skiing on 110/107/97's
I'm getting the Barnama 88's for powder.
I just bought a pair of Renoun endurance 88 but haven't gotten out on them yet. Any thoughts on those as compared to Kendo 88?
ОтветитьIn directional all mountain category you mentioned which skis have longest turn radius? You mentioned enforcer 88 as shortest. Thanks.
ОтветитьWow super usefull!! I don’t know if I missed it but I would like to know your specs too 🙂 One seems to be bigger thanks the other, other than that it’s hard to say 😄 Thanks! 🤩👍
ОтветитьWould you prefer the stance 90 or mindbender 89 for softer snow off trail (bowls, trees etc.)?
ОтветитьWhy do you never review Peak skis? I haven’t seen it.
ОтветитьGreat job with your reviews guys. You’re way better than the Brit reviewers in your knowledge and ability. Well done.
ОтветитьJeff really nailed it with his picks, I would love to have any ski on the left side!
ОтветитьReally conflicted between the Armada Declivity 92 Ti and the Elan Rispstick 96 black edition, I like pushing my skis on piste but at the same type I enjoy having a more playful experience on the side of the trail and off piste, any tips would be much appreciated!
ОтветитьWhat glades are those that you guys hit on the black crows?
ОтветитьDoes anybody know the difference between this “90mm” video and the previous “mid 90mm” video ? I don’t get the difference between these two types of skis (non English native speaker here)
ОтветитьHey boys!! Thanks for the videos, guys are killin it! Having a hard time choosing between the enforcer 88 or Maverick 88ti. What do you think? Which do you prefer? 6’3” 215lbs. Thanks!!
ОтветитьHello guys! Great review for the 90 mm skis! I would like to ask you for an advise. I am from Europe and I am mostly skiing in Switzerland, 60% on-piste, 20% steep downhill, 20% powder. I am an intermediate to advance skier and I am very confuse and can't take a decision between the following skis, all of them look very nice and have nice characteristics:
-Atomic Maverick 88ti or 95ti
-Atomic Bent 90 or 100
-Salomon qst 92 or 98
-Dynastar M Free
-Black Crows Captis ( or another models if you have any better recomandation )
-Armada ARV 94
I prefer the floaty feel and the skis to be playful under my feet, being able to do short fast turns. However, for the moment I don't have any thought to go in the park with the skis. I would like some skis that are doing a little bit of carving but being floaty under foot, being able to go in the powder without problems, and to ski the steep mountains without being worried about the skis. Mostly I am searching for a ski to have fun with, I tried the atomic x9s and they are not my style, being very stick to the ground.
I'm torn between the 24' Rustler 9 and 24' QST 92. I am 5'10" 200lbs expert skier and ski mostly in central NY, VT & Maine. I like to do it all, park, bumps, trees, switch. I also dont ski fast and hate to carve and prefer to make lots of little turns. Any help picking between the Rustler 9 in 180cm or QST 92 would be appreciated.
ОтветитьI have a Nordica Navigator 90 at 186cm and as I am getting older and fatter (183cm and 105kg now) I feel I cannot perform at the same level throughout the day. It is a very nice and fast ski but as I am getting tired it is getting more difficult especially to manoeuvre on narrow parts or trees.
I am thinking of switching to the Armada Declivity 88c, 92ti or the Black Crows Serpo.
I have tried the Armada Declivity 82ti @ 174cm and it felt amazing but a little short compared to the Navigator @ 186cm, but that is something I wouldn't probably noticed if I hadn't compared them one after the other, idk
What would you suggest for an all day (mainly on-piste) ski? and should I go shorter?
Thank you
Hi Geoff and Bob, thanks again for excellent review - the best on the net. I just sold my Stockli Stormrider 88s and I am torn between the Armada Declivity's 88 C and 92 TI, the Dynastar M-Cross 88 and the salomon Stance 90. I will ski 80/20 piste/off piste, but sometimes the piste is pretty messed up with crowded slopes and other times 6" of new snow if its snowed overnight, since the piste bashers don't piste then. I am just under 6", 190 lbs I'd say advanced/expert (ex Army skier), but in my 60s now so not racing anymore :-) - I like to carve when pistes allow, and do short turns on the side of piste when its crowded. Where would you advise me to lean amongst those please - I did like the Stocklis, but making a change - for now anyway. Warm Regards, Nigel
ОтветитьHello guys, thank you very much for your videos, great stuff. I would like to ask for some advice, I have been skiing for 13 years, but since I arrived in Switzerland,I have gained a lot of experience both on piste and off piste. Every day I'm more and more interested in doing off piste if the conditions allow me to do so, but in Switzerland that doesn't always happen, so I'm looking for versatile skis on which I can progress my technique on piste but above all that are suitable for off piste and improve my technique there if the conditions allow me to do so. I like speed and short turns. I 29yo, 5’8”, 183 lb. Thank you very much!
ОтветитьIs the Mpro 90 like a lighter enforcer 88? Similar shape? How much groomer performance is lost in the mpro 90 vs the enforcer 88?
Thank you!
Just started working at a ski shop and holy moly these videos are so helpful! Never going to hem and haw when someone asks me how a ski we carry compares to one we don’t.
Dang it now I might spend my next paycheck on one of these.
No J Skis?
ОтветитьI'm a Santa Ana 88 172 owner, I went with the SA because I wanted more versatility for moguls and packed out trees. I have to ski it slower because it's not stable at high speeds, I would need more ski. That being said, I'm looking at the Enforcer 88, I've already skied it. my concerns are it's heavier, it's stiffer, so I would be giving up some versatility, but the gain would be more stability at speed. It's a tough call as to which ski to purchase. I need a new SA but I also want the Enforcer strength at speed. What to do?
ОтветитьI would love a 90 MM twin tip ski comparison, bent 90 captis sort of skis ect Love both of you guys 👍🏽
ОтветитьHi guys i have a question regarding the armadas. I need a more detailed comparison between the two
