Getting Started with IPv6

I just called your support line to ask if my ISP would need to configure anything to get my IPv6 block to work and they were no help. My ISP, (Frontier) doesn't even offer IPv6 and I've been begging for several years now but they have no plans to implement it anytime soon so I'm not sure if I would waste my money buying my own block. Does anyone know if I would need get my ISP involved to configure my own block of IPv6? I have EdgeRouters but I'm still learning networking so I'm not sure where to find this info if even ARIN can't answer that. I'm about to ask in Ubiquiti forums as well but I thought I'd try here first.
