Neon! Beautiful
ОтветитьThe holes in the cable ends are for the pin to help tighten the needles to the cables. The holes in the 2” needles are for adding a life line to your work if you would like.
ОтветитьIf you only measure the actual cable and not the part that the needle tips screw into it should be the exact size stated.
ОтветитьI don't think you mentioned? the option of using the needles as flexible DPNs. I purchased a 3 pack of 2" cables (for Mini/Red and Flex/Blue) as well as an additional shortie set in just the size I use for socks. It's a cross between magic loop and DPNs and is so much easier and quicker for me.
ОтветитьLooks like they don't count the connection part in measurements
ОтветитьDo you know why they say “The 5″ (13cm) cable should only be used with the 2″ (5cm) tips.”??
I’ve seen people using the short cable with one 2” and one 3” for that grip. But the warning puts me off buying the set!
I have both....love them.
ОтветитьCan you tell me if the shortie red cables are interchangable with the blue needles if I have the adapters from the mini 4” & 5” sets? I really prefer the material the red cables are made of! Thanks!
ОтветитьThe secret in comfy knitting with shorties is to relax your hands, buy the triple 3 packs of the 2 inch to make your own flexible DPNs, they come in red Twist or spins , swiv360, blue Twist and all size tips shorties to 4 or 5 inch- your choice. I use all, they are much more cost effective that flexiflips brand.
ОтветитьThere is now a ChiaoGoo yellow pouch and some larger tip shorties US9,5.5mm)great for sweater sleeves.
ОтветитьI also use my shorties on the flexible dpn kits of triple 2 inch, they come in blue, red and swiv360 -small, mini and large.
ОтветитьUse a safety pin to keep connectors from getting lost. Just put pin in t-pin hole.
ОтветитьThe reason for no t-pin hole is that they are long enough to grip well.
ОтветитьFor socks i would use the flexible triple 2 inch triple sets to make flexible dpns with shorties or any tip.

ОтветитьI use one 9-inch circular for the entire sock until I get to the toe, then switch to two 9-inch circulars for the toe.
ОтветитьHow can you you knit with your right hand underneath? 🤔
ОтветитьCan I use the red cable on the blue tips? Fingers on a lace glove Thanks Marianne Knapp Easton Pa 💗
ОтветитьWhich is best for fingers of a lace glove magic loop 24" cord on small tips? Thanks ❤
ОтветитьNeon
ОтветитьThe tips look great but the cord isn't long enough to swing around for magic loop? Thanks Marianne
ОтветитьNeon are pretty
ОтветитьI just got the red yellow and blue and received today
ОтветитьAppreciate the in-depth "hands on" review of these sets. I've been researching and trying to determine which needles I need for the type of projects I want to make. I like the way you go through measurements which really helps! Thank you!
ОтветитьNeon
ОтветитьDo you think you would still use your DPN
ОтветитьI don’t like magic loop so I use these shorties for making baby clothes, socks, and sleeves 😊
ОтветитьDommage câbles trop fins ils cassent trop😢 fragiles
ОтветитьCâbles rouges
ОтветитьGgoodforbarbie clothes knitted
ОтветитьThanks for explaing the needles. Neyon
ОтветитьI really can't wait to try those needles and try the neon yarn
ОтветитьAre the metal needles heavy?
ОтветитьThere is also a yellow set with swivel cables.
ОтветитьJust a note...cable length is an exact match if you don't measure in the hardware? Just a thought
ОтветитьYou can use the longer and the shorter tip on one cord. Hold the longer tip in your working hand
