It may be a chronological longer life but really it's a shorter life as it would have to be twice as long hypothetically just to be equal.
Humans can kind of hibernate when they go into a coma.

There's a story of a couple and their baby caught in a snowstorm that lasted for days. They abandoned their car and retreated to a cave. I think the husband either passed away or went for help and the mother was hypothermic beyond and passed away but the baby was discovered to be frozen but had a extremely low heart beat and was successfully brought back with no effects from the experience.

Respect your mind and the others minds how could a mindless creature evolved to have one later.

So you didn't know, and I was hoping that you would mention it at some point, that indeed we as infancies, we can and have hibernated in history already. if you look it up its not that crazy. We just lose the ability after infancy. One of life's great mysteries you could have made a video about... Damn.

I wish that hybernation could happen to me during the summertime. I'm very hot natured and I suffer horrible allergies during spring/summer. I do so much better in the cold and dark (allergies/autism/adhd/ect...). I would gladly live and work just during the fall and winter when it's more comfortable and less bright and hot.

Ostrich. Emu, penguin, to name a few.

winter depression kind of feels like hibernation, and as I understand it many hibernating species still get up from time to time for basic routines like hydrating or relieving, so honestly I wonder if some people with SAD might just have remnants of the hibernating spirit within them

Third population of Earth may be sent to Hibernate, on rotation basis
Extending effective time span of Humans
And humans will be more productive

There are traditions n the far east that are open in believing their top practitioners can go into hibernation. Several stories of finding coffins in old walls and the person waking up slowly over several days. There is even several accounts of old men producing documents at a border or airport that showed their age in the hundreds of years and when asked they simply laugh and say ‘no no I’m not really that old, I was in hibernation for many years’

Birds don’t walk on two legs? What about pangolins?
Apes are well known to throw rocks (among other things).
So do most all primates.

One reason humans brain got to be so big is because our skull rests on our spine instead of being held up by the neckmuscles. And because it does an increase in weight and brainvolume was possible

it makes sense that hibernation would lead to a longer life span, if aging is the metabolism of cells over time - or something like that- then it would make sense you'd live longer if part of the year your metabolism drops for weeks/months on end
