For me, ICT works, but it's not as easy as people think. It's not something you master overnight. For me, it took three years, and I've been trading for almost 5 to 6 years now. I'm always learning. I blew up a lot of accounts in the past, but I'm still here, fighting for a better future for myself and my family as a trader.

Over these past years, I’ve learned that almost everything works—almost every strategy—if you give it enough effort and time to learn, but not only that: you need to master it! Whether it’s ICT, supply and demand, Fibonacci, etc., everything works, but as a trader, you need to have an edge, a plan, and the right mindset. You must avoid overtrading and follow your rules.

So, what are your rules in trading? Is it 1 or 2 trades a week? A day? Risking 1% or 2% per trade? If you’ve set rules, why don’t you follow them? Why do you overtrade? Why don’t you stick to your plan? You need to start thinking beyond yourself as a trader—think about your family. Every time you break your rules, you’re failing the most important thing: your future self and your family.

For me, this mindset has helped a lot. It’s taught me to follow my rules, avoid overtrading, and start taking better trades. Slowly, I’ve started becoming profitable. But the journey never ends. I’m still here, watching you, Dan, learning and improving every day!

@I_Am_The_ICT has a strong following, but as with any trading guru, it's important to stay skeptical. His strategies work for some, but results vary. Always do your own research before diving in!

Ict is legit

In my opinion I think ICT is just a cult, and i don't recommend anyone that's new in this industry to start with ICT concepts 😅 but if you are advanced trader you can go for it because you already know what works and doesn't 😅😅

Regardless of your strategy, you will eventually lose if you do not manage your risk and are searching for some holy grail in your trading journey. Trading is a marathon. You may get lucky with a few trades but it will not last in the long run.

ICT offers a wealth of trading concepts, but success comes from focusing on a select few that align with your style. Trying to master everything can lead to overwhelm and hinder progress. Simplicity and focus are key.

It still goes down to You Vs You. What works for a trader & is profitable. ICT is a collection of ideas & strategies . Each trader has deduced what works for them individually.

ict over complicated things

In truth: most (if not all) of ICT's concepts come from other authors such as Wyckoff , Dalton, Steidlmayer, Wyckoff etc. All he has done and put into a unified whole. Which is actually commendable but what isn't commendable is stealing the work of others to pass on as your own by giving things new names. ICT is trying to overwrite trading history.

Noob traders will not know this but seasoned vets do.

Trading is meant to be SIMPLE & it’s supposed to be EASY, you’re the one who complicates it by introducing “variables.”What good is ICT teaching you something if there’s consistent doubt from the person learning due to the instructors lack of showcasing the concept live.

Everyone has their different way to trade. I trade ICT concepts myself and i never hated any other trading strategy because at the end of the day making money is the only thing matter regardless of the strategy you use.

Honestly I can't say is ICT work or not as I am a simple price action trader, I didn't use ICT.
But yeah as you said there are so many traders which claims successful usage of ICT. Which means ICT works.
Imo, ICT is like other technical method strategies but with different names and concept. Thanks the nice short video 😊

I find ICT strategies legit because they offer a unique perspective on how institutions move the market, which gives me an edge in trading. While the complexity can be tough at times, I believe the depth of understanding it provides is worth the effort for long-term success.

I don’t use ICT all I do is I only focus on Price Action I try my best to follow the trend
Here is my strategy

1. I look the bigger picture of the chart from Daily time frame to 4Hours
2. Point of interest I scale down to H1 Mark out key zones
3. I only execute a trade on 15min to 5min
Before I execute. There are some certain things I look up to
Chart pattern
Candle stick confirmation
And I measure my stop loss in Pips

I Don even trade I ICT nor watch any of his mentorship videos. But I like his advise on psychology.

The bottom line that the market moves in cycles that are repetitive. Some may label these patterns as "ICT, Supply or demand, Support/resistance or whatever" as long as a trader can identify these tendencies in price, back test and formulate a consistent strategy that is profitable. that's all that matters. you can predict the market movement to some extent with ICT concepts. His concepts will give us more insights about liquidity and time. They both works really well. But you need to spend too much time to learn them.

The truth is that the “ICT concepts” work, but the reason why they work is way more boring. The very popular thing ICT and SMC traders do is renaming and overcomplicating things to sound more appealing, to make you think you have now this inside information that is hidden from everyone else.

Everyone has their unique way of trading. Personally, I follow ICT (Inner Circle Trader) concepts, but I’ve never looked down on other trading strategies. At the end of the day, the only thing that truly matters is making money, regardless of the method you use to achieve it. Every approach has its merits, and what works for one trader might not work for another. Respect for diversity in trading is key.

UNPOPULAR OPINION : It’s not about strategy, it’s HOW the trader executes his strategy. We can all have the same edge yet end up having different result. I think ICT concepts work if using higher timeframe FVGs and order blocks with CHoCH and break and retest

in my opinion, it is quite helpful because at the beginning I started using the concept of ict, but honestly all we need is structure in htf. Break and retest! it is very simple, ICT is the same as break end retest repack. psychology and money management are what make you survive in the market

Tha fact is ICT himself is not a profitable trader and he cannot trade the way he is shown in social media. The best example is Robbins Cup as he blown his account . But we must also accept the reality that his concepts works better for alot of traders and alot of traders find profitability trading his concepts.

It's not for me , am pure price action traders and able to funded 10 times this year. Am continuously analysing and correcting my mistakes . New strategy is no way I don't have time to waste another 2 years .

You need to be very lazy or have a mental disorder or both to not understand why ICT concepts do work.
