before feminism....Nowadays a film like that - by men and for men - could not be made - and if someone wants to remake it they will have to have women in all the roles

Frankie lane is one of a kind

I saw the film long ago as my late Dad took me to the movies to see it- It was a good film, and the actors were very well chosen, one could actually believe something like that could have happened, and the song is unforgettable.

Version 2 of this song i think is better. The movie version is to bombastic and dramatic i think but it goes with the territory so to speak.

今となっては数十年前のことですが、所用でこの町の近くまで行くことがあり、ついでにツームストンの街までドライブしました。ブートヒルという墓場を見て歩いていると、地元の御婦人と思しき女性が話しかけてきて、（大阪弁でいうと）「あんたはん、親戚の墓でも探してはるんでっか」と云われたのには驚きました。きっと先住民と思われたのでしょうか。いまでも、この映画を見るたびに思い出します。苦笑

What a load of crap. The shootout at the ok corrall occurred because Wyatt Earp tasked Ike Clanton and his gang to rob a stage coach and ike never payed Wyatt his share, it had zero to do with morality. Wyatt Earpp was corrupt.
