The prison system punishes those who have committed a crime. However, the incarcerated time should include compulsory rehabilitative processes. This doesn't mean behavorial tuition but rather work and classrooms that teach and distract the prisoners from destructive thinking and add to their skillset and make their minds better from the lowly depths they may have been in before. Simple examples include carpentry / religious teachings/ languages etc. High risk individuals can be instructed online and distanced from actual tools or equipment.

Keeping people in isolation for long periods of time is torture, imo it’s a fate worse than death and I can’t believe our government would allow this

In denmark, high security prisons are more like high luxury hotels and their crime rate reduced 75% so maybe we should be focusing more on rehabilitation and reintegration ..

It's messed up how we treat people. Most of the prison population are non violent offenders, 85% or better shouldn't even be there. Iv spent a good portion of my life incarcerated, and I have 0 violent offense record. The prison system is a profitable organization and until that changes the system will remain broken, and lives thrown away to rot behind bars. Out of sight out of mind!

If you're in prison for life you deserve this.. if you're going to be released eventually you don't deserve this ..the public doesn't deserve this.. because the people are going to be more f up in the brain and then what they were when they went in there... which poses a threat to Public Safety

Don’t kidnap people. Don’t rape people. Don’t touch kids. Don’t kill people. Don’t do crim stuff and this sorta thing won’t happen to you. Simple as that. There are definitely people out there that would deserve far worse things than this.
