Hey, Scott - Great review! I am a neighbor to the west in Minnesota. I just got this same saw a few weeks ago. It is my first scroll saw so I don't have anything to compare it to, however it seems to line up like a cheap Pegas clone from what I've seen online. So far, I've been really happy with it. The stock blades aren't great but I knew that going in. With a good blade, this saw cuts great. I also bought the HF stand and this thing is a beast, so it's not going anywhere and vibration hasn't been an issue at the speeds I saw at. I also wish the rear ring pull had a different design, so I'm curious to see what you come up with for a cord and pulley and a blade holder. I'm looking forward to more great videos! Cheers...

Great looking saw! Thanks for your review. Is there any maintenance required? I've had my Black and Decker now for 25 years and have never had to do anything to it.(believe me, it has hundreds of thousands of miles on it) Best $180 I've ever spent. 😎✌️

Should have explained how to change blades. Pro and con. But thanks for reviewing the saw.

I’m considering a scroll saw and your
video is timely. I’m a beginning hobby
level woodworker. Some of the settings look confusing but that would apply to every saw.
Looking forward to more videos. Thanks!

I've been looking at the WEN for quite a while. I was surprised when this video popped up in my feed. I just had to watch it. The Bauer line at HF is well known so it's not surprising that they have done a scroll saw of this size that is being well received. Definitely on my radar when I'm ready to make a purchase. Thanks for taking the time to do this review.

Where I see who this saw is for, it as budget frienldy saw and provides the “better saw” tehcnolgies. In terms of the front chuck, the lever seems to work like the Pegas. You put the blade it, flip the lever and the tension is set.

Thanks Scott. I've had an old Craftsman scroll saw for 10 years and just starting to play with it now. Appreciate your videos as a good place to get my basic beginner's info. Looking forward to your future content :)

I just bought the grizzly and this looks just like it. It looks like a copy of the Excalibur and probably made in the same factory. I wish I had seen this before I bought mine.

Scott, Great and timely video. Just getting started looking at scroll saws. Was looking at the Wen scroll saws then saw your video. You indicated that you bought a stand and power pedal. Can you post the links to those 2 items. Did not see them on the HF scroll saw page. Also, what blades do you recommend in getting started. Please post your suggested links. Thanks again for the video.

Ohio Home Depot’s have the Dewalt on sale for $400, is the Bauer still a better deal for an amateur like myself do you think? And is the Pegas clamp reasonable for either saw?

Hi Scott
Do you still like this Bauer scroll saw? Thanks for this review on the Bauer scroll saw. I saw the video you did for the fulcrum. I still have my eye on this. It's either this Bauer or the pagas and unfortunately I can't afford that one.😂. Where did you get the foot switch you said you were using with the Bauer? Harbor freight also maybe?
My store is waiting for the next truck to come in on 5th or 6th and they only ordered 1 so crossing my fingers I'll be the one to get it. Thanks for all your time in making these videos and answering our questions. Keep on scrolling 🎉❤

I just noticed these at HF. I had a Dewalt many years ago, which I believe was the original "double parallel link arm" design. I loved that saw, but to me it had just one fatal flaw....The insane front-to-back movement of the blade. It was about 1/8" at the table and increased from there. That made fine fretwork difficult for me. How much is the front-to-back blade movement on this saw, measured at the table?

Was wondering what the "arms" and blade grip (chuck) are made of. In the store it is difficult to tell if they are aluminum or plastic, just that dull gray color. I saw in your video that the tension lever is plastic but didn't know about the other items.

I have been using a Dewalt scroll saw for past 3 years (30+ hours a week). I had been looking for a backup as the Dewalt is wearing and making a lot of noise. Business is such that I do not want to take the Dewalt apart until I have a decent back up, or upgrade to a Seyco or Pegus. Based on your review I might have to consider this.

Since you
