Magnum Research Lone Eagle Single-Shot Pistol

Had a chance to buy one a few years back in 30-06 at a pretty reasonable price. But had to pass on it for lack of cash.

I think the 30-06 was a more popular chambering. I don't see very many at the local gun shows anymore.

The same applies to my love of Shep's channel =) Plus, he gets out and shoots more on video. I have to try to keep up. Maybe I'll have a blow-out of shooting vids this weekend. You can never tell =)

Doing shooting videos without anyone to run the camera are kind of a pain to do. When I do it, I try to do several all at once. Then post them one at a time over 2 or 3 weeks.

Maybe even a ,45 LC that would be real fun. I'm looking at one right now with a 308 barrel. I need some research on barrels

I have the same model as you do.Mine is in 22-250.

I haven't had an issue with the Lone Eagle yet but will definitely keep this in mind. It doesn't get fired much at all but it seems to be working fine. Bought it brand new and including the 2 times in the video it's probably been dry fired maybe another 2 (if that). It's hard to find the gun itself, so I imagine it's even harder to find a replacement pin as you say.

I have one just like it,but it's a 44 magnum and yes you can change barrels on it.

That would be fun to shoot. They don't recoil that bad.

Don't worry about recoil, they don't kick that much. In fact, with a large pistol caliber the recoil is more noticeable than with these rifle calibers.

I had one of these Lone Eagle hand cannons in .308 Winchester in the 1990s. Massive recoil! A true hand cannon, with a gritty, terrible trigger. Fugly too. A novelty. Overkill.

I have this gun in 22250 love it. and taking offers. I have shot it 5 times.

FYI this gun is not recommended to be dry fired. I broke the firing pin ones doing that.

My name is Al Martin. I live in Woonsocket Rhode Island and I made the first auto extractor/ejector for this gun to fire rimless cartridges. The project was brought to me by a man named George Hocshteder......not sure about the spelling..... I was paid with two rifles for the work. The big difference with this gun is recoil.

First called ssp-86 had 223 and 444 big fun.

Yes the barrels are interchangeable on these guns. I think the smallest caliber was a .22 hornet and the largest was a .444 Marlin, with pretty much every common rifle cartridge in between those calibers.

I was cringing every time you dry fired it. Never dry fire with the breach closed. You should open the breach then you can dry fire.

Where can you get an owers manual?

The manual says only dry fire when the breech is open.

You said 458 win. in the beginning then said 358 win. Magnum Research never made 458 win. It's a 358 win. A company after Magnum Research made them up up 470 Capstick. The company was Competitor Corp.
