Memory, understanding, and thought are not perfect but based on chemistry which in turn is built on the random strangeness of the quantum world. If we could perfectly comprehend 2 ideas then combining them would always generate the same finite set of results. Every person's understanding of an idea is different, fuzzy, and linked differently to all their other ideas. It's this associative randomness that allows infinite combinations. Errors and misunderstandings can result in new insights and accidental discoveries.

I remember taking what I called "active notes" back when I was in college in the 70's and it made such a huge difference in the quality of my learning. Plus, my notes were much more compact and organized. Mostly because I listened to the lecture and "recompiled" the information in a way that made sense to me. I am rediscovering this again decades later and these two gentle souls are great mentors/muses!

What apps are better than cmaptools? I have been using cmaptools for months now and wouldn't mind switching. :)

🤔 Sorry - This is a complete misunderstanding of the Muses and their function in Greek thought.
