i really want to like this game, because you can see the effort it has... but it's boring as hell dude. i'm not even lvl 20 and all i do is the same quest of kill x mobs, go gather x stuff...
The only thing i hate about most mmorpgs of today is the fact that killing mobs won't give you any exp and you can only lvl up by those boring quests.

I miss lost ark.. to many bots

People say that this game has good action combat, I don't get it you just one shot everything.

So it is look like you did not taste the favor of spending pheons ;)

I feel like I am one of the only people in the world who loved levelling to 50 then absolutely hated the endgame content.

This game, like all MMORPG's as of late, relies heavily on praying on your exiting early game then bends you over and takes your wallet for a ride while making you feel like you were left lonely in the bed in the morning after a nice date.

I don't understand why you wanted to - kind of - skip to the endgame so badly. Was early and mid-game not good?

The setting and events made the leveling campaign way more enjoyable than any tier quest zone past it, i dont think i could ever replay that shitty beach zone with the knockoff maui and angry spirit garbage. On the other hand most people probably just skip cut scenes

This game screamed Metal reaper online when I first saw it, and that wasn't a bad thing

I felt I was turned off this game right from the get go, like the opening few hours are what I would call a bad mmo/rpg. Starting you off in a training area to pick specs when you know nothing about the class.. the moment felt super off and weird. The big numbers and flashy acrobatic combat.. then you're able to dispatch enemies in groups of 10. I felt bored right at the start, I pushed myself through a few quests but after 3 hours I knew this mmorpg wasn't for me. I'm currently playing Wakfu, its simple as fuck but I like the chill crafting/collecting/turn based combat how you're able to control 3 of your toons at once and level them at once.. Perhaps Throne and Liberty will grab my attention? Who knows!

that mobile mmorpg vibe I get from lost ark's early game and AGS being... AGS keeps me from giving this game a try

If anyone wants a similar game to the endgame of Lost Ark, Monster Hunter is definitely for you. Isn't a traditional MMO more of a single-player experience but very similar elements and without the need to grind levels at all you're just right into it!

Is this a p2w game where u are always getting destroyed in pvp by card warriors?

It's not really worth it, mindless grind in the same dungeons / raids. Very boring after your second T3 hero. Don't waste your time like i did. :)

Getting main character to level 50 and complete the MSQ to North Vern is pain in the ass but after that it is like a butter on hot pancake because you can obtain 2 vern passes to your ults and not to mention with the new character that just got released and it came with feiton pass too.. if you still have 3 more ults, just do the power knowledge with cost of gold, I know this is gonna be hurt for some people but also try to get your main up to tier 3 first and then farm materials from there and sell the materials for gold and use the gold for your ults like power knowledge. Cheers

The moment I heard “pay to win”, I cancelled the download. Such a shame. But I won’t tolerate p2w anymore, personally.

idk i simply cant stand this kind of games. looks like a mobile game and its combat system is absolutely nothing for me

The game itself isn't too bad, what killed it for me is just the fundamentals of xp gain. Why is it only questing that nets you xp?
What made me think about it was me turning in a quest to notice the popup say "+x COMBAT xp". Why the heck am i getting COMBAT xp for pressing G. This game is already a press G simulator, why can't i just go out of my way and kill stuff if i wanted to level up? And why do you get xp for turning in the quest instead of killing the things?
Essentially you're just locked and forced into "finishing the story" which is pretty MEH to begin with (it's an ACTION rpg, not story rpg) which adds even more linearity to the whole process.
Might aswell grant people max level off the bat cause it seems like the devs themselves know how linear it is and if the "best part" really is the endgame which seems to be the focus on why even bother with "story" or "levelling"? Most people aren't even gonna make it there, including me cause if the journey to the "best part" isn't even remotely decent, why should i believe the "best part" is decent?

Im glad that I watched this. I started playing a long while ago but havent really clicked with leveling... this def has me more interested and im glad i took the time to look up what endgame is like!

I quit this game after release for 1, Elden rings release and 2, because of story but after finishing up with Elden ring I decided to come back and finish up story and it wasn’t easy. Probably the most boring thing I’ve ever done in a video game. But after you reach the lvl 50 endgame mark the game becomes so much more fun and cooler

I honestly got to lvl 1340 on the shadow hunter because of your first video. But I honestly hated it lol. I now boosted my alt and have gotten my Paly to 1325. My shadow hunter feeds the paladin now.

BRO omg you actually choose the name (Bogged) , you know there's an NPC in Elden ring named Boc the Seamster and he just so happens to sound like you, i thought you actually did the voice acting for him, although his name is spelled different but omg the fuckin irony HAHA

I used to be optimistic for this game, but having just finished Elden Ring which completely revived my love for open world hardcore RPGs (MMO or otherwise) -- finally trying out Lost Ark was just massively underwhelming to the point that I couldn't be bothered trying to get to the end-game. Map just felt so limiting and the hive-mobs way too easy I could literally close my eyes and just mindlessly button mash 90% of the time... just overall got way too bored way too quickly. I don't doubt it get's more fun at "end-game" but considering no Oceania servers and me being in Aus -- just couldn't bring myself to bother with the grind/torture of getting there.

Well if you like DAOC then ok. Seems it use to have good RVR. If it even has pop these days. Still doesn't seem like anything that Guild Wars 2 doesn't have.

& Planetside 2 is a better game than Guild Wars 2 is. GW2 has 6 months of entertainment & PS2 has 3+ years.
Lazy Peon might as well re review Everquest 1, before he ever gets to Planetside 2. These reviewers who only PVE are such amatuers, PVP is the other half of the mmo genre. Fantasy or Scifi makes no difference, the only mmo with good pvp is PS2, everything else is meh.

Until maybe Ashes of Creation 1 or 2 years later, & that's only maybe. POE has no pvp, Final Fantasy has bad pvp, WoW has 1 shots, Lost Ark only has a small arena map with no rewards, & Elden Ring's pvp is unequal.

Tried my best, but really not enjoying the game 1 to 50 and even tier 2. Really isn't fun.

None of my friends survived getting through the story, everyone quit around level 30 about 10 hours of gameplay.
General consensus among them : "This game is good, but I wanted an mmo not a on the rails 20 hour story, when does group play even make sense??"
All of us moved to mh rise.
(I made it to level 50 got the powerpass tickets and bailed, didn't want run into that "oh this promotion has ended" if I ever come back.)

My experience with lost ark so far, i was stuck in traffic coming back home when it opened up the free servers. To see that the server all my friends had created a character was actually locked for new players(Kazeros), then everyone made fun of me, but it was all in good spirited fun. It will be a day1 thing, right? We were so naive... Giving credit AGS would actually know how to release a game.

7 whole days later, and any hype i had for the game dead at this point, Kazeros was finally free, and i could play with my friends... That were all lv50 enjoying the end-game content.

Either way, most of then actually decided to level up a new character with me, to show me ropes and stuff, and while we were mindless pounding waves and waves of trash mobs and almost 1-shotting low-level bosses, i though to myself. This isnt fun at all, maybe its because they(my friends) have some extra advantages "rooster level" of whatever it's called, then i've tryed doing a Hard dungeon solo, at around lv30 or so, and the result was the exact same, popped demonize form, put all my skills into cd, the boss of the dungeon was dead.

So huh, at least the history is... acceptable right? Than there is a plot point, where Character A, goes away with the enemy faction, because of reason X, which bothers me a lot, because of the reasoning. Then i went on discord and asked if every other playable character is considered a Delain, or just the Shadowhunter, which i received a reply, "whats a Delain?", and that made my interest for the story also gone.

So now, slogging through the boring samy quests, through very linear maps, one-tapping everything, i've reached lv50, in the middle of the cyberpunk-looking city, and then i was like, great, "Can i start having fun now?". To which my friends reply, "No, you have to reach Vern first".

Dropped the game for a few days and was considering uninstalling it fully, and then saw your video. I can say, that i will now try to reach Vern.
