ОтветитьAs a dutchman mysef, never knew it was originaly created by scots with a deep meaning... the dutch use/used it as a footbal theme/chant on world and european cups called "wij houden van oranje" meaning "we love orange"
ОтветитьFor the families and soidier may they have their grace and shall dig their own hearts for answers and must say goodbye thy the earth we must give peace and prosperity from the great people who died

ОтветитьAmusingly the tune to Auld Lang Syne is used in a popular song in Japan called Hotaru no Hikari which is commonly used for things like graduations or store closing time
I could only imagine my Mums suprise not knowing about Auld Lang Syne being a scottish folk song. When a train carriage of inibtieated Scots coming back from the football or rugby singing a song that she last heard when being politely told to vacate a deptartment store in Ginza 25 years previously
What is the name of the instrument in this song?

ОтветитьVim pelo vídeo do garoto, tocando essa melodia com os pés, no quadrado dourado...
ОтветитьIts weird because my mom lived her whole life in Brazil, didn’t have access to radio, television or internet back then and she used to hum this melody for me to sleep. When I grew up and asked her what was the name of the song she told me she made it up, it’s like she brought a memory from a past life

ОтветитьProud of my Scottish heritage. Something about the bagpipes or a fiddle brings out a primal, tribal feeling I’ve missed for so long but also that I’ve never experienced. Hard to explain. But Love to Scotland from across the pong here in America 🫡💚🏴🇺🇸
