Dead spaces in buildings are actually pretty easy to spot in grid based construction. I never leave till i account for every tile of space.
If it seems there is a place i can't get, it's a good indicator. But I'm also OCD as hell so that probably helps. Not saying this does not work at all, just that there are those who will notice attempts at hidden rooms and dead spaces.
Cool ideas!
ОтветитьCan you hide in the base, wait for others to set up a base in the main area, then steal their stuff while their gone? That would be funny - "didn't we leave a fuel can and ammo in this container?"
ОтветитьI leave a massive field in all directions of junk cars cars that barely run, ect. I hit servers hard and early to get this done. Then I just play the game normally, even using the junk field to train mechanics and spare parts and stull like that. Until I notice one or more of the junk cars go missing I don't understand why about player psychology, but they usually loot first and investigate later, and they ALWAYS use one of the junk cars as a getaway/extra storage. And they NEVER figure out that if there is a car around a building for miles congratulations we know where you live now thief. :D
ОтветитьI did something similar in one of the giant storage buildings over in the farming area. A whole wide open area above the ground floor, complete with windows, to make a nice home in once you build a floor :D And, if youre careful, nobody will know its there.
ОтветитьFor me I like to make falls with plaster and buckets of water.
Doing it before I log off then when I log back on I smash it back out
I"m about to give PZ a second chance just because of this video. Cheers!
ОтветитьI was actually able to pull off the 2nd type of base, it mightve been SP but it was more for roleplay purposes. I didn't build it into an apartment complex but one of the gigamarts, due to there being no loot in the office areas of one of the gigamarts, and it being on an upper floor, made it safer against zomboids just walking up and even if looters were to go up there, I'm sure they wouldn't notice maybe 3 doors missing down the line of office doors.
Ответитьonce i litearly built a 11 story building and welcomed players that managed to contact me to it like a hotel. to avoid looters and griefers i hid the hotel rooms inside of walls. and to hide it even more i built office style layout so it would disintrest looters, as offices only have very little usefull supplies.
ОтветитьNot secret anymore
ОтветитьWhat are the mods shown in this video? I would like to play with the military clothing & backpacks mod and the big truck with the container on the back, also the military crates in the hidden base
Ответитьim not a zomboid player, but i cant help but notice you had to drop the rope and how did you get up there to drop the rope/ was it the stairs?
Ответитьgood video i never thought of this!
ОтветитьYou should do more of these videos, if you haven’t already. A whole series of hidden base videos
Ответить2nd one is much more inventive, I like that.
The first one is way too game-y and even a older strat, at that.
Genius, great tricks really, I can say I will never spot such a secret base, especially with all the little details like trash and loot still on the shelves.
ОтветитьYour music choice sucks.
ОтветитьI actually used this method to hide my own personal area from my own group which never realized I had a secret stash.
Ответитьthe second is a naissss one
ОтветитьThe beat drop while casually walking through a house💀💀
ОтветитьI thought multiplayer would be more co-operative there are hardly any humans so there should be plenty for everybody. It is sad that every single online game seems to have been reduced to 'shoot other people and take their stuff' it is quite boring.
ОтветитьHide.... ?😂😂
ОтветитьIt's not bad, but the best way to remain hidden on a no safehouse MP server is to just not have a base. Too many people think they're being clever like this, but I've found so many of these types of bases. I've even found ones buried deep in forests. Nowhere is truly safe.
But I found success in just forgetting owning a base, and instead placing all my items on the ground (assuming place item saves the item in the world). You can hide items behind trees with near invisibility. They're hidden so well that I have sometimes struggled to even find my own loot.
What mod is the backpack from? Amazing bases
ОтветитьHey, just a heads up, the video links in your descriptions have timestamps in them. I opened this video and it started playing about half way through
ОтветитьIs it possible to get your Mod list?
ОтветитьWhat was the song half way through the video called?
ОтветитьVery clever ideas
Ответитьthe second base is a bit risky, you can injure yourself. not very common from 1 story but still it can happen if your unlucky... but I dont think I need this. I play with friends and we are just co-op or I play solo so it doesnt matter, but I might make a secret base for my friends in co-op to hide my special fluffy toys :P
ОтветитьNow hide the massive container truck :)
Great ideas, thanks.
how do you deal with the rope ? that is easy to see
Ответитьcan see the sheet rope..
ОтветитьOh. The reveal was very disappointing. Hidden ropes are played out.
Ответитьthe second method is quite efficient and cool, yes.
the first method is meeh at best. altho in theory it works, you'll find that most big pvp servers prohibit the use of alt characters for exactly that reason. and no one would dare because its easy to check as admin
Can’t see the first base at all before he points it out
Yeah no, the cloth rope isn’t there.
whats the modded vehicle in the beginning with the truck that can haul cargo containers, been looking for a mod like this
ОтветитьHow do you get your map to look like that? It looks 3D and semi realistic. What mod is it?
Ответитьgj bro ! rly nice !
ОтветитьAlready thought about it. As one of my bases were constructed in the headspace of the Muldraugh warehouse, but it's single-player so knowing I could do this didn't really have a use. Lots of building have headspace like that. I'm usually quite leery of security through obscurity though.
ОтветитьWhat apartment complex is the second base at?
ОтветитьThese secret bases are amazing! I would never have thought to build anything like that. Both are great
ОтветитьThe walled-off apartment room isn't especially good because in my opinion there's a good chance that people will realize that things are different on that floor (missing room) and that there's an inaccessible area there.
It's mostly still decent just because I feel like on most servers people won't bother searching all the buildings like that much or at all, so the chances of even encountering a base at all is unlikely. The only exception may be if it's a very high player population server, and with the population focused in one region of the map, and even then they'd still need safehouse looting enabled (or safehouses entirely disabled, which I think isn't a good setting). All too often servers will have population spread out over the whole map, and have modded maps that split the players even more.
Personally I think safehouses should be enabled all the time with SafehouseFire=false, SledgehammerOnlyInSafehouse=true, SafehouseAllowLoot=true, SafehouseAllowTresspass=true so that they don't do a whole lot but still give some useful benefit. With those settings, it's also kind of good to add a mod that allows disassembly of security shutters, especially if SafehouseAllowNonResidential is false.
Genius, insta sub & like
ОтветитьCool ideas didn't know you could do this stuff lol.
Ответитьcool bases, but after 150k views its not that hidden
ОтветитьWhat about generators and cars...
ОтветитьWhich hidden base gets your vote: the first one showcased in the video or the second one?
Ответить
