Great little fly, looks awesome. Will have to add a few to the nymph box. Thanks Matt for sharing.
ОтветитьPretty neat
ОтветитьGood Morning Sir Matt, The Savage Squirrel WOW 👏 so simple and so productive ... what more can you ask for ... Thank You Sir Matt 😊 until next time.
ОтветитьNice! Thanks Matt
Ответитьthat one is full of good ideas. I wonder how it would act with a partridge collar?
ОтветитьSure looks like it'll catch fish, Matt. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьGreat tutorial Matt! Buggy, simple, limited materials... but a savage squirrel needs a loin cloth, no? 🤫All kidding aside, that's an awesome impressionistic "in the round" nymph. I see the Whitlock influence, and I like the dark ice dub thorax, imitates the the dark wingcase of a nymph ready to hatch and the "ice" is the gas. Well done and thought out pattern Matt, thanks! 🤑👍
ОтветитьMorning Matt. Placing my order now. Baker's dozen. Christmas code for discount "Santa's sleigh".
Like the fly. Have fun on your fishing trip. Hope you take some videos fishing with this fly and will share it with us.
Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Another great looking fly Matt, hope you got a couple hour nap before you had to get up for work today.
ОтветитьHey Matt☕️☕️
Man oh man, just rolled out of bed🤪not like me at all. That does look good, I should twist some up and love the name. I will be sending you an email. When we can talk about some things this is going to be epic 👍
Matt, your keeping me busy tying. I tied up some of your zebra midges (from Tuesday) last night. Now I will have to tie up a few of these. Thanks! 😁
ОтветитьHave a great trip, love starting my Friday with coffee and you video
ОтветитьI love these simple ties 👍
ОтветитьThanks Matt for a cool quick tie, looks great.
ОтветитьSweet fly Matt could add a cdc collar safe trip
ОтветитьI really like that fly Matt! It looks like something I might come up with. I found out a long time ago, if its dark and buggy looking, the fish will eat it. Thanks for sharing, have a great time next week. Hope the streams aren't running to high. Tight lines. 👍.
ОтветитьLooks good and have a good time fishing. Thanks for sharing Matt.
ОтветитьAwesome job Matt, that’s a cool Fly!!!!!
ОтветитьThree materials, it doesn't get much more simple. I've finally figured out how to tell what fish like to eat, pretty much anything I wouldn't want to eat, especially if it wiggles or crawls. Keep the good stuff coming Matt.
Ответить"Park it with the magnet?" What do you use for your material clip? A magnet?
ОтветитьSimple pattern that appears like it would be a fish catcher. Thanks for the video Matt.
Ответить👍💪
ОтветитьYou just made my tying list longer. Fuzzy, ambiguous insect is indeed a recipe for success. Good one, Matt. Using the thread tag to counter wrap is good for durability, & it does make for nice segmentation.
ОтветитьGreat fly Matt,
ОтветитьAwesome fly I like that it's so simple
ОтветитьThanks Matt! Love the name..Savage Squirrel..gave me a certain visual of a mad squirrel you wouldn’t want to trim his bushy tail while he’s wearing it! 🐿 😂 Great looking fly.👍 Not sure how far south you’re heading, bass and sunfish are still active here in Texas. 75 degrees today..C’mon down! Have a great weekend my friend! 👍🎣👌
Ответитьawesome Matt
ОтветитьThanks Matt you have no idea how much I appreciate you doing this for us I really do
ОтветитьGreat name and for sure the fish like it. Thx Matt.
ОтветитьGreat TIE Great fly!! That ice dub seems to make flies magical ,and buggy spkiy squirrel can't go wrong
ОтветитьGreat stuff Matt, the name is what it is. I will add this to my fly box. Keep up the great work.
Ответить"Savage Squirrel" could have been a TV superhero when I was growing up! Great name for what looks like a simple tie & a sure fish catcher. Thanks for sharing it with us Matt.
ОтветитьGreat generic pattern. Tan, olive and brown would cover most Eastern streams. Even though I only trout fish when I go North twice a year, I'll be tying some of these in size 16 . Thanks again for another great video.
ОтветитьAnother nice one Matt, definitely adding this one to my box have a blessed day my friend.
ОтветитьCan’t beat that for simplicity. But high on enjoyment and productivity. Thank you Matt. A great looking fly. Let us know how it does next week. Have a great trip.
ОтветитьGlad to see the nymphs have made a return to the channel. Can't wait to tie a few of these up.
ОтветитьLove simple flies that catch fish
Thanks for the video Matt
Hi Matt. Currently sitting in Montana watching Savage squirrels and no it’s not a television show. 😀. That fly is definitely going on the list to tie. We are here until Tuesday waiting for truck parts. May have to tie some flies while stuck in the hotel. The perils of winter travel and poorly engineered emission systems. Oh well. We’ll get there a few days late not a big deal.
ОтветитьVery cool thank you!
ОтветитьI really like this nymph. You can change it up quite a bit with different colors. Thanks Matt and have a great weekend.
ОтветитьLooks like a great bug. Like the name as well. Have a great holiday season. Warmest regards
ОтветитьI'm glad you mentioned a dedicated scissors for cutting the lead. When I was beginning to tie flies, I cut wire and lead with my scissors. I can't explain why I didn't notice the nicks in the scissors sooner. Part of the learning curve.
ОтветитьGreat fly Matt. Thanks.
ОтветитьVery catchy looking fly, I can't wait to towing, and fishing a few. Thanks very much. God bless.
Ответитьcool name and fly matt thanks...hey have you had a chance to try my fly THE ALLEGANNY NYMPH...was just wondering if you have and if you did how did it do...thanks...see ya joe ...and as always i will be watching.
ОтветитьGood stuff Mat.
ОтветитьA while ago I watched a video of yours where you shared a website that you got fur pelts and scraps from. I can’t seem to find that video and I’m interested in checking that website out. Would you be willing to share?
