The Wrong Man (1956) Henry Fonda, Alfred Hitchcock Film

Just watched the movie. Very good movie. Even better because it is a true story. So happy the wife came out of her psychosis and recovered fully.

annoying movie that he said nothing, just went along with the PIGS, let them do whatever to him withot resisting or complaining.

When they are looking for someone two little girls open the door. one of them is Tuesday Weld as a child. When they walk Manny into a deli and a nosy woman customer is given the brush-off she is the great Mary Boylan. You may remember her as the chronically ill Miss Peebles in Night of the Iguana and in many other films from Midnight Cowboy to Woody Allen films. Bernard Hermann who wrote the wonderful Stork Club Mambo plays the band director! Doreen Lang is a longtime Hitch friend. She is the secretary at the insurance office who has a panic attack. You may remember her as Mr. Thornhill's secretary at the beginning of North by Northwest and most memorably as the freaked out mother in the diner in The BIrds.

Two minutes of pure directorial brilliance: the anguish in Vera Miles' face, the handcuffs, the submissive posture of Henry Fonda.
