i love this song, i play it on my piano, like erday
Ответитьone of my favorite songs
Ответитьyou sir, win :)
Ответить@acadencePreD hehehe, diffferent kinds of music man, blink is all about fun, so ya they arnt great live, but its the atmosphere that makes them great. but i gotta say this performance was really moving.
ОтветитьHe should do a live piano solo of the song. Just that piano and no other instruments. Beautiful.
ОтветитьSIMPLY A FANTASTIC SONG excellent live performance, the emotion in John's singing and playing is incredible, especially towards the end, you can tell hes sooo into the music.
ОтветитьProbably going to get down-ranked for this, but his voice is pretty bad live. I dig the song, but live, his voice really lacks.
ОтветитьHis voice kinda sounds funny on this one... lol
Ответитьagreed but i still like the song live
Ответитьmy bands coverin this for our Uni assessment. Awesome song, n fun piano part to play
Ответить@jonnywhy85 old joke is old.
ОтветитьPowerful performance. Loved it!
Ответитьso much passion.
ОтветитьYay John!!!
Ответитьi find it awkward to see john standing there in front of straylight run and now taking back sunday. oh well. they're back together(:
Ответитьnot gonna lie... This just gave me as boner.
Ответитьall the bands you hear on the radio are recordings that are doctored in studios under perfect conditions. also keep in mind, a recording of a live show is NOT a live show and will not sound the same.
Ответитьthe guitarist plays like such a armature
Ответить@BlankMessageTV you're right..... but learn to spell.
Ответить@sk8tafrnk I never said it was bad. his raw voice is fantastic. I'd MUCH rather see musicians sing their hearts out and hear the flaws in their voice which everyone has vs. watching someone lip sync. Straylight Run is an amazing band, the mixing was a little bad on the producers part when the girl started singing. but irregardless watching them sing their hearts out is amazing.
Ответить@sticklesng i meant "regardless" sorry. haha honest mistake
ОтветитьSay what you want but John Nolan throws himself completely into the song, very few people get as into it as he does
ОтветитьA nice little song for you kids. Looks like your generation might make some decent music. Still, can compare to Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven or Springsteen Born to Run or The Doors LA Woman. It would be best for you kids just to study your history of music here in the USA because it will never reach the heights it did in the 60s and 70s.
Ответить@JayGatsbyOdysseus you don't know what the hell you are talking about, there is PLENTY of good music out there that was made just months ago... Just because you haven't heard it doesnt mean its out there... maybe you should stop listening to the doors or zeppelin for the millionth time and look for some other good music. Its out there.
Ответитьdoesnt meant its not out there rather
Ответить@arefx This band has probably never read Thus Spoke Zarathrustra or knows who Camus is or Sartre. To use the word existentialism in the title of the a song, you should have an understading of the subject.
ОтветитьSome people just don't get this song. It's not about sounding perfect. It's about singing like you think no one's listening, and that's what John is doing.
Ответитьyou obviously dont know Nolan at ALL!!! Do you think you are cool? did you refer to google for your answer? Music is art, you werent there writing these lyrics were you>
ОтветитьIf you want to talk albout studying the history of music, don't talk 60s or 70s. "Looks like you generation might have some decent music"? How fucking arrogant are you? I listen to music from, not even across decades, but goddamn centuries. So let me tell you every generation has more than "decent" music. So stop being a pretentious tool.
ОтветитьHow could ANYONE dislike this? I guess the people who hate babies and murder puppies.
Ответитьnot everyone likes exactly the same music as you. SUPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьHaha, you're right, lol. I really shouldn't have written my comment like that, lol, way too extreme, I don't actually feel THAT strongly about it. I just think that it's such a beautiful song, lol, I should have said something more like "How could anyone say that this is a bad song?" Not like anyone here has said that, but somebody that I know, so I was reacting to a personal experience. Thanks for commenting on that, I was going kind of mental.
Ответитьha, you're welcome.. I agree that it is a very moving song for me personally as well, but some people would think its boring, whatever, they have different personalities and life experiences.
ОтветитьExcelentes. @peterstayway from Bogotá colombia.
ОтветитьWow this man is amazing
Ответитьin their defence, its really hard to play piano and sing at the same time..of corse its not going to be perfect nobody is..id LOVE to see any of you haters try and cover this song play it on piano and sing it perfrectly.
ОтветитьA little insensitive don't you think?
Ответитьwill forever be a teenage anthem to those of us who grew up in the 2000s. shame my little brother and sister will never listen to something like this.
ОтветитьAll of the haters that are talking smack about John and Michelle's singing and playing obviously have no sense of what a truly great live performance is! I have been a musician for 30 years now, classically trained on piano, vocally trained, guitar player, and sax player. I've busked, and I've played the stages, and I will certainly say that this is a great performance by Straylight. Johns voice is perfect for this song as is Michelle's. You seem to forget that these guy's WROTE this song, therefore, however they perform it is exactly the way it's supposed to be! I'd like to see any of you do better. Thank you Straylight for such a wonderful performance, and yes I'm still coming back to it in 2018. That in itself say's alot!!!
ОтветитьDid anyone hear Eddy left taking back Sunday, he was in the band since 2000 I think, I was hoping Fred maraschino would rejoin him or Matthew fazzi who played on new again.
ОтветитьWhy did this band go on indefinite hiatus Ik John and Shaun are back in taking back Sunday, but Eddie Reyes just left.
ОтветитьIf this the last comment you’ve read ina while just know you guys are timeless. All you need is one hit to seal the dea in history and you got more than a few but this song specifically is a classic and earned you a spot in history and one of the greats in your genre. Church!
ОтветитьI feel this in my cells
ОтветитьOne of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard 💜
ОтветитьSo east coast. I’m from California but east coast bands have a lot of substance
ОтветитьStill a banger.
